Does anybody know anything about Bloom CN School / Schools? Are they legit? Ans school offering CNA training required to be accredited or approved? I was asked by a friend, and I have no experience with nursing Assistant certifications. Thank you
CNA schools are reviewed and approved by a State CNA registry system. The cost of the school if employed by a nursing home should be reimbursed in accordance with the: "method for payment of nurse assistant training as required by Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) '87." https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2671955/ Many nursing homes offer free or paid training to become a CNA as well! it usually takes about 100 hours of lecture and clinical with a BLS course and a written and practical exam. Here is a California Registry https://www.cdph.ca.gov/programs/CHCQ/LCP/Pages/CNA.aspx Skills: https://www.redcross.org/content/dam/redcross/training-services/cna/california-cna/Pages%2012-27%20SKILLS%20TEST%20%E2%80%93%20HOW%20TO%20PERFORM%20THE%20TWENTY-FIVE%20(25)%20SKILLS%20%E2%80%93%20TESTING%20STATIONS%20A%20%E2%80%93%20B%20%E2%80%93%20C%20Pages%2012-27.pdf
Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for. I was able to validate Bloom is in the register. Passed the info to my friend.
