The price is nothing short of astonishing. It's on the web-page at the bottom of each module description. There are three modules in the Mini-Mba. 3 certs - one after each modules. Each costs $4895 plus taxes. Add those in and you pay around $16,000 Cdn. for a mini-"degree." Arr, Matey! Where are their cutlasses and eye-patches?

    I
f you want a mini-mba from a good school in CAnada - Try University of Toronto. They have a one-module mini MBA for around $1100 US. A VERY sharp reduction from the normal price. There's a thread started on it somewhere.

McGill has a great rep. but those guys are picky. Not many years ago, they had a 100% policy against acknowledging distance degrees - any kind, any school. They're probably only giving distance courses now because of COVID 19, I don't know. I have no idea if the 100% exclusion rule (or any part thereof) still stands.

What I didn't see -- how much CREDIT is the mini worth towards a full MBA? Anyone know?

This kind of money is not the norm for Quebec. When the province was handed control of higher education (from the Church) many many years ago, it promised to keep fees as low as possible - as the Church had done. The Province did as promised and normal fees for Quebec students are roughly half or a bit less than half of what's paid in the rest of Canada.

I'm guessing they charge this for executive programs so they can offer lower tuition to Quebec degree-seeking students. Colleges and Universities here (Ontario) do the same thing with the many overseas students who come here. They pay about 2.5 times the domestic price so that Canadian students' wallets don't take a huge hit.

I read everything on the McGill site, including the downloadable brochure. At no point was any academic credit mentioned. It was mentioned that you won't get a tax receipt because this is not their regular academic program. It also said that there is no exam - which makes sense. You do get to make a presentation to the group -after which you receive your fourth (complete Mini MBA) Certificate. It appears the Mini is for the executive crowd - not for those who slog away for a couple of years for the full MBA. So - no credit, I guess.

Man - this has GOT to be one of the most expensive zero-credit programs I ever heard of! In another thread, I see you can get a CAMBRIDGE certificate for $2000!
In Spain, via ENEB/ Universidad Isabel 1 you could get 100 Master's degrees (at 2 for $298) for the $16,000 this McGill program costs. It's a Groupon deal (really) in another mega-thread here. And you'd still have enough for tapas y cerveza before you turn in. Or maybe vino tinto de la Rioja.

Yeah, but it must be really small. Like those 25 cent McD's hamburgers of many years ago. Maybe Toronto's is more like a Big Mac. :) McGill -Well, it had better last you a few months at least, at that price! A truckload of Burger King Whoppers, maybe....

I completed an MBA program with them, the whole program was less than 8K. Then the program went private not too long time ago and now it is close to 100K. It was fined by the government but they used the profits from the MBA to pay the fine and now it is all profits.

It is not worth it, the people that pay this kind of money is because their company is paying. I don't see anyone paying this from their own pocket.
