Someone posted a DeVoss article that mentioned this school. I had never heard of it. It has an EdD in Transformative Leadership and Coaching that looks interesting (as well as Grad Certificates in Emotional Intelligence). Their doctoral tuition is 667 per credit hour while their credits are in quarters hours. If Inam doing the math right the cost is around 24,000 for the EdD. It is DEAC accredited. http://www.wrightgrad.edu/doctorate-education-transformational-leadership-coaching/? Why they may have had issues is that they accept no transfer credits and require their own Masters for admission to the doctoral program.
The site says "$129,357*," am I missing something? URL: http://www.wrightgrad.edu/tuition-performative-learning-fees/?
"The total cost [listed for the EdD] includes the total cost of the prerequisite program, the M.A. in Transformational Leadership & Coaching" So in a sense a price for the EdD alone is ($129,357 minus $46,287), which equals… $83,070.
Good grief!!! I did not scroll over and just went by their confusing tuition. They said it was per credit hour (quarter hour program) but must have been per quarter hour. That is rather excessive for a DEAC program.
DEAC or not, that's excessive. I wouldn't even pay that for a Penn degree. However, you have some people who will pay for a "name."
The EdD from Johns Hopkins University and Vanderbilt University at the $130,500 and $109,350; at least you get hope to be a higher education executive one to recoup your money. An EdD from Wright Graduate University might lead to unemployment.
