Florida universities (FIU and FAU) are helping students during this COVID-19 era.

    Florida International University’s (FIU)

    This is FREE:

Florida International University’s (FIU) 5th Annual Hemispheric Security Conference (HSC) will be held online May 18 - 22. FIU is in partnership with the Organization of American States (OAS) that I grew up reading about.

This Cybersecurity Leadership and Strategy Executive Certificate Program is $1995 in person. They moved it online for $395 due to COVID-19.

Fantastic, I just signed up... for the Professional Certification, I have the CISSP is currently active. Other CompTIA, Microsoft, E-Council, and Cisco certifications are obsolete. I am currently working on my PMP certification, with this executive certificate are enough for my credential.

Thank you so much for the post!

I love the Certificate part. I took so many Udemy courses offering through my employer educational portal, but those certificates do not have any good reputation to list in my resume.

Udemy certificates are useless. You can check all of your videos as 'watched', then you get certificates right away.
Coursera and Edx certificates are more legitimate than Udemy certificates.
But I think Udemy courses are way more useful and helpful than Coursera and Edx courses. I learn most of my skills through Udemy, Packt Publishing videos.
Coursera and Edx are good tools to obtain certificates but I really doubt if Coursera and Edx will teach you all of the skills. There are more to learn from Udemy, Packt Pub, Lynda videos.

I also signed up. I have many Coursera and Edx certificates but they are just 3rd party paper. This is direct from the university. That makes it way more legitimate.

Are your Edx and Coursera Professional Certificate, Specialization Certificate, MicroMaster Certificate, or Course Certificates? Are they useful in the resume?

My goal to add several professional and executive education certifications to my resume. It has been exhausted for me to have too many IT certifications that would add no value for my future opportunities. I have been staring at Said Business School at Oxford University. The certificate does not indicate ONLINE or from a third party.

Fascinating $2740 Oxford Certificate. I had not seen this. Pre-COVID-19, I was looking at going to Said Business School at Oxford for their one-week program on-campus grants official alumni status and listed in their alumni directory. The cost is 15k.

I do not list any 3rd party Edx and Coursera Certificates on my CV as I have other stuff. I only have the pay $50 versions from Edx and Coursera. I have no IT certs.

I would and will put FIU and the University of Arizona (different post) on my CV.

Yeah, IT Certs only useful for a specific job, but not into the management levels exception of certain senior IT certs likes CISSP, CCIE, PMP, GSE, and etc. I have access FREE Coursera 8 Professional Certifications from Google, IBM and SAS plus some Universities' Specialization. I have been studying IBM Data Science and Google's Data Engineering with Google Cloud. I am not sure if it is useful for me to list these professional certificates once completion.

There are a few other ways to get certificates directly from universities.

I found these NYU data science certificate programs for only $850:
    NYU - Visualizing Data
    https://execed.stern.nyu.edu/products/visualizing-data
NYU - Coding in R for Data
    https://execed.stern.nyu.edu/products/coding-in-r-for-data

After completion, you'll get a certificate from NYU Stern School.
Not bad for the price...and the certificates you get are permanent.

Also, Cornell University has eCornell programs starting from $2500+:

I think Cornell programs are quite overpriced. But they can be helpful for your resume?

    Good find on NYU Stern.

eCornell is a name turn off for me.

eCornell costs $3600 for some basic courses... I don't think it will worth the price.

I agree I am not a big fan off the weird name on the certificate. It sounds like you are buying a brand name at an outlet store. I feel something that you have earned with no recognition or inferior. I looked into the Harvard Business School's program, but it is a big turn off with "ONLINE."

I 100% agree with you. If the university is not proud of its Certificate and needs to cheapen the name.....I do not need it!

FIU and Arizona you can order a real official university diploma cover for them.

I don't believe Harvard online courses will look credible on resumes....
Anyone can immediately find out they're online courses. Unless you have the very top skills, you can't get into Harvard anyways.

    Online I agree with you.

    There are two exceptions:

You can attend the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) on campus 6-days and be an official HKS alumnus. $9,600

The Harvard Business School seven-week program with an opportunity to earn HBS alumni status. $82,000
