It has been a while I am trying to decide for an MBA from a decent school. I was lurking at Boston University's Questrom Business School & Edx Online MBA, but I missed the deadline. Besides, the program is a general business focus and does not provide the same resources as the ones on campus along with the network. So, I finally applied to the Imperial College London's School of Business's Global MBA. I might apply to Macquarie University's Graduate School of Management's Global MBA via Coursera a second choice.

    So, wish me luck! :)

Imperial College's triple accreditation is impressive. What's the purpose of a third master's degree though?

I have not found any information that UCL's MBA has a decent ranking. Besides, I am looking at 35-world ranking MBA by TopMBA.com. I looked at Warwick, but I program at Imperial College's program is more appealing with residences, and on-campus course as an option. I might choose Warwick as a second choice over Macquarie University's Graduate School of Management.

I have thought about a Doctorate, but since I have no desire to teach or research. Therefore, an MBA from a prestigious school would help me to understand the business sector more by coming from the technical side of the field. My first goal is to aim for a senior position in the Fortune 500 company or running a successful business.

I am frugal, I want it all - accreditation and recognition, but I don't want to spend too much energy/time on it. I think a Masters or an MBA from one of the UK universities would do you great or if you want that extra prestige, an Australian university with AACSB & EQUIS "online MBA" program might do (Deakin ranked top 16 in the world in 2016 and 24th in 2019 for only $7000USD - yes, you read that price correctly as they partner with upgrad.com an Indian company)

Good luck TEKMAN! I agree with Chris that Imperial's triple accreditation is impressive! I am sure the program is rigorous and would help push you towards your career goals!

There are definitely programs that have recognition/prestige and are cost-friendly. For example, the UPenn MCIT program that is offered through CourseEra is roughly $25,000. Not shabby at all for an Ivy League masters degree.

OK, I would like to push my ex-University - Open University Business School - once more. GBP 20K for a triple crown MBA.
    But I guess I lost to the Deakin / upgrad.com solution! :)

does the alumni base matter to you? UCL is part of the UoL family, but Imperial is alone.

University College London's Globa MBA delivers through 2U, and the cost is £55,000 compares to £37,600.00 at Imperial College London. The UCL's Global MBA is not AACSB accredited; it is currently seeking to be accredited.

My application with the Imperial College London Business School for Global MBA was finally completed. I am waiting for the Skype interview and the decision will be around May 27. While waiting for the admission decision; I craft my own Master of Bussiness Administration (MBA) at Coursera. These are the "Specializations", which I treat it is as a module to study in a month. The crafted MBA program modules come from top business schools around the world. Currently, I am taking the Blockchain Revolution, and Investment Management with Python and Machine Learning next.

I am not sure if you had a chance to communicate with upgrad. They seem to have a nice initiative, however, the way they communicate with a prospective candidate is really not appropriate. At one point last week, i was being contacted by two different admission counselors with both providing conflicting information. Anyhow, in essence, you would be doing a Postgraduate Diploma from IMT Ghaziabad (an Indian school) and the Capstone would be via Deakin. I have specifically asked and was informed that the Deakin transcript would perhaps not account for the courses taken at IMT Ghaziabad and this all appears to be a Top-up MBA sort of an operating model. So, by all means, if you are looking for a Deakin's MBA, this is an excellent price, however, you might not have a real feel of a Deakin's MBA.

On top of that, upgrad just issued an offer letter to me recently without taking in any of my official credentials. Interestingly, a phone call came asking (a) what is your terminal degree? and (b) how much relevant working experience you have?. Subsequent to this, i was informed that i am eligible and should fill a half a page application form on their website. To my surprise, the offer letter was just issued based on that and INR 10,000/- was asked for a down payment to reserve a seat. This all sounded so dubious to me that i didn't proceed further with them.

Maybe I'm old fashioned but I think that for someone in the USA its better to earn an MBA from well known US University.
Some times people don't understand why one attends university overseas even in DL global era.
There are great programs overseas as well snd I'm sure well respected all over the world yet some still ask questions.

    Just my thoughts.

I am conditionally accepted to the Imperial College London's Business School Global MBA program.

Conditional 1: They have not received my transcript from Georgetown University yet.
Conditional 2: I have to pay a 10% tuition as deposit.
