Hi everyone! I have read multiple threads on here from you all.
I am pretty good at deciphering between fraudulent schools/programs or not but I am stumped.

I was looking at three schools

    1. OUS royal academy
    2. London school of planning and management
    3. London school of international business

I wanted to take an online accredited BBA or BA (in business) style program (especially during this time of isolation)

If anyone on here has had experiences and or advice with those schools, that would be GREATLY appreciated. Also, if you know or any other accredited schools that are available, shoot them my way!

    hope everyone is staying safe!

Please define "accredited"? State-recognised? Accredited by a legitimate accreditation organisation? Accredited by a questionable but not completly Fake accreditation organisation?

You might want to check on those schools here before you move forward

    https://www.gov.uk/check-a-university-is-officially-recognised

The number of accredited schools where you can get a Bachelors degree in Business is so large that no one is going to make a list. There's probably one in your own backyard. If you absolutely need a name then look at the University of London.

ohhh it's that time of the month again?

Oooo, you're so cynical. I love that. But we can entertain Rachel's question. The fact is that a Bachelors degree in Business is probably the #1 most common online degree in the world. If a school has only one online degree program it's likely to be a Business degree. A google search would yield more results than you could easily handle. So I'm sure Rachel can find a credible program at a reasonable price and wouldn't need to resort to some shady degree from some non-school. Like some people might do. But not Rachel.

with all due respect, it’s a valid question. Troll? Not so much. A student who wants to keep pursuing education amidst this chaos, yes.

these platforms are put in place so people can ask these questions prior to wasting money on a program with no accreditation and or fake.

I appreciate your comment. I am far from a “troll”. I ask these questions because I want to keep pursuing my education from abroad during this crisis. I have read many threads on the validity of these programs and that’s why I decided to post on here.

My issue is not a cost based scenario rather if the degree I earn online can further me to a masters program thereafter.

As my first post stated, I had looked at a few schools in London but also OUS Royal academy of Economics. The latter I am still baffled if it is a valid honors degree or it’s fake. I’m not here to attend some degree mill. That’s where my predicament is!

I was accepted into a school in France for the fall but amidst Covid and restrictions with traveling and a potential issue with obtaining a visa on time to study, online will be my best bet

OK, that's fine. So now you have the link that you can use to look up any British school. I'd suggest either the University of London, the Open University (UK), or any number of other schools such as Leicester, Birmingham, etc. Here's a list

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_universities_in_the_United_Kingdom

I strongly suggest that, as you say, "I am baffled if it is valid or it's fake," that you assume it's fake. The degree you are seeking is so common that there's no reason to concern yourself with questionable entities. Please let us know what you decide.

I'm driving to Groton. It's so much easier with so few cars on the road.

Of course there is a reason... not everyone is willing or capable to bring the effort which is necessary to achieve a degree at a demanding school like University of London.
I would recommend this school only to those who seriously are willing and capable to achieve such a degree.
If that is not the case then they will most likely fail. In this case it might be better to choose a realistic option from the beginning, e.g. an ASIC school without state recognition.

By the same logic, those who wish to do virtually no work at all might take a few moments to identify a degree mill from whom they could simply buy a degree. I understand the diplomas are rather convincing.

There is more than White (state recognised) and black (diploma mill), there is a lot of grey too.

For example I know quiet a few people that graduated from EU Business school. Until very recently they did not offer any state-recognised degrees.

At EU Business school the students' have always had regular classes and wrote regular exams at the end of the semester. Everything is Just a bit easier than at state Universities. After graduation all the people I know found acceptable Jobs.

I prefer to think about these things on a case by case basis. I know of no university named "EU Business School." I understand that not all universities provide the same level of rigor. Harvard is more difficult than Quinsigamond Community College yet they are both accredited schools. When you drop below the level of accredited universities things become quite murky and the difference between a degree mill and a low level training institute becomes quite slim. The fact that your friends found jobs is not the important part. After all, people find jobs with degree mill credentials. The end does not justify the means. The question is, did they satisfy the minimum requirements of what it means to earn a "degree?" Or maybe they earned some sort of certificate?

stanmoreuk.org - Stanmore School of Business
lsib.co.uk - London School of International Business
lspm.org.uk - London School of Management and Planning
lsbr.org.uk - London School of Business and Research

    Imagine that.

I immediately assume that very high level questions like this are simply posted by those who don’t have the benefit of years, almost decades for some of us, of participating in the discussions on this forum (and similar forums). I was a newbie once too!

unfortunately, I have spent a fair amount of time providing feedback to trolls (unknown to me in the moment) on DI. Luckily, I usually get a strong tap on the shoulder by a more veteran member/moderator before too much of my time is wasted. Thank you for maintaining order, this forum is way too valuable of a resource.

DI has provided so much priceless advice and guidance to me over the years, that I take it to heart when some agenda driven troll starts screwing around in here.

That being said, is this a legit post, created by a legit poster? If it is, shouldn’t some of the first questions be “What exactly are you trying to accomplish with the referenced degree?”, “Is there a particular career path you are trying to get to with this degree?”, “What type of accreditation is required for the field you are trying to break into?”

    Or did I miss something?
