In fairness, historically the answer has been "yes". :)

    Rich,

You're probably right. This forum is taking up too much of my time. I am a high school teacher in my country :emoji_flag_pl:and I am fairly busy with further university studies (simultaneously working on two Master's degrees in addition to the one that I already hold). I've enjoyed the interactions with you guys. Wish you all the best for the future! I am officially leaving, but I sincerely hope that this forum will thrive.

Geez tadj, that’s a little bit of black or white thinking, isn’t it? Either you’re posting non-stop or you just quit? Why not something in the middle? Why not come back sometime and tell us about those Masters programs?

No, I've realized that this stuff is distracting me.

DL doesn't constitute my life. I don't want to spend so much time on this stuff.

Sincere apologies for some of the long-winded posts. I hope that there were valuable things in there. Take care everyone!

I will be reading degreeinfo, but I won't post here and get into these discussions again. I've been a reader for years. It was a much better experience.

One does not "officially leave." One may or may not stop posting, as I did for a couple of years.

I've been thinking about the ENEB school that is partnered with the Universidad Isabel 1 that has been promoted heavily on Groupon for prices between $249 and $299. They've even added some other cheaper alternatives to the list for shorter programs. I'm waiting for someone to finish it to see will they get any kind of recognition as a RA equivalent from NACES or WES.

These Titulos propios programs are very similar in focus and structure to the Associates of Applied Science degrees offered at community colleges here in the United States. They are meant for employment purposes and not to transfer to a Bachelors degree offered at the university level with the only differences being they are still accredited and are offered at the undergraduate level.

I'm speaking on ENEB/Universidad I in particular. So you do not think any these evaluators will give the unofficial programs from Universidad I which is accredited the time of day?

You said yourself that these are not degree programs but instead they are training programs for employment. So why would anyone say they are equivalent to a degree?

Well that's true... Still curious though. I would complete one of their programs if someone got it recognized from one of the evaluators for at least some graduate credit only or a graduate/post graduate certificate if not a RA Masters degree. I don't need another Masters degree but any legal recognition of graduate coursework for under $300 in the USA besides just a certificate of completion from a MOOC would be good.

But you said yourself that these courses were roughly equivalent to Associates degree courses. How then could they be seen as equivalent to graduate credits? It sounds like you've got a pigs ear and you're reallyreallyreally hoping that someone will think it's a silk purse.

I wouldn't know because I have not taken any of these programs at all. I was saying that in general the programs set up in Spain for programs like these that are unofffical based on what I have read and researched are similar to the design of an Associate of Applied Science degree created by community colleges. I did not mean that they were at the same level. I also have heard of some stories from people on this forum of similar programs being equated to post graduate certificates as well as Associate degrees. Some got no degree award but granted graduate credits for similar programs. I'm only parroting what other people have said based on experiences of other members of this forum that took programs similar in structure to ENEB/Universidad Isabel I that were private international accredited universities even though they were official degrees I believe.

I know someone working on his second PhD from Universidad de Nicuaraga who has like five Masters degrees as well who plans to start one of ENEB/Universidad Isabel I programs next year. He strongly believes that their degrees will receive RA accreditation equivalency from an evaluator. We shall see!

Many other countries have "qualifications frameworks" where both degrees and credentials from industry, unions, etc. are explicitly considered equivalent. (Rich can tell you more about this than anyone.) Maybe it relates to that?
