Did you mean to say that you can attest to? Btw, Harvard, MIT, Yale, and Princeton to name a few, are all more prestigious than a significant amount to UK universities.

Absolutely so. Probably higher-ranked than 85 to 90% of U.S. national universities.

This thread is a bit old at this point and I'm not sure about the evolution of this degree program within the Durham system but my quick reading of the website indicates that this DBA program is not at all a distance learning program. There are some considerable on-campus requirements over the term of the program. So you can have that debate about how prestigious the school is or is not but this is not a DL degree program. Not at all.

I keep shaking this stick and hitting non- and short-residency DBA programs. It's boring. Darn that stick!

I know this isn't the subject of the recent post, but even though I was a big proponent of Durham early on, I ended up leaving the school half way through and transferring.

Durham U is a great Uni in the UK and the Uni is very strong for humanities, but less much so for finance.

My goal has been a part time PhD (distance or w/ some visits) AND getting published in a few academic journals. The school would have been fine just for the PhD, but I'm really set on the publication as well and unfortunately Durham doesn't have a very strong PhD finance publishing track or the supervisor support to do so (esp in a part time program) as noted below:

Where did you end up transferring to?
