There have been some excellent recommendations in this thread, and it's nice to see some solid Canadian schools getting some publicity here.

But it seems to me that, after those recommendations, if Alkuish is seriously making an inquiry about Triune, which is so obviously a diploma mill that anyone should be able to recognize it, then Alkuish is beyond hope in terms of earning a credible credential.

I did, however, like Triune's address, "790 ELDERT LN. APT.12E BROOKLYN NY. 11208- 4723, USA."

An apartment number? You'd think that a halfway intelligent degree mill operator would be able to foot for P.O. box at the least...

    Their website states the following:

PLEASE NOTE: This is to inform the general public that Triune Biblical University Global Extension, USA is now fully accredited under the State of Ohio with certificate ID # 201922900712. We now run both Campus-based and Online Programme (and Courses) for students across many countries of the world" and "Welcome to TRIUNE BIBLICAL UNIVERSITY GLOBAL EXTENSION, USA, INC. (Authentication number: 184224.) Visit https://app.sos.ky.gov/ftshow/certvalidate.aspx to Authenticate. Triune Biblical University Global Extension, USA, INC is both an online and campus based."

Being listed in a state's online business database does not constitute "full accreditation."

This is just a business license. It means nothing in regards to accreditation, quality of education or the legitimacy of the degrees.

It's nationally accredited through DEAC. While I love the concept that they're striving for, you may need to look closer on if that accreditation or their programs will suffice for your intended purpose. The gold standard for a traditional legitimate college or university in the United States, surprisingly, is regional accreditation. The difference can be immense, depending on your intended application with the credentials.

Or not. Like the man says, that depends on what you're doing with the degree. NA degrees have, in general, good utility - in the US. Many employers accept them readily. If you want further study at a RA school, that's a bit of a crapshoot. You may get selective acceptance - some courses not others. Some schools will take the whole degree, no problems. Depends partly on which NA school it's from. Oh yes - you're in Canada, as am I. Cold, eh? :) Here, quite a few employers are a tad sniffy about NA degrees - and for further study, you could be completely SOL.

I don't know if U. of the People is for you, Alkuish, because their degree offerings are limited to business, computer science, health science and a Master's in Education. If a NA degree meets your needs and you want one of these fields, U. of the People is an excellent, economical choice.

You had indicated you have some links in UK for counselling education. Are you able to send me

Yeah I could send some links. But first I want to point out that these degrees don't always translate nicely across international boundaries. Especially when it comes to licensure. You could earn the degree but still not be eligible for licensure.

They always bank on people not knowing that it isn't actual accreditation, and most people don't know better.
