Actually, not everyone was civil to him, which is unfortunate. And in a world where CBE exists, his was not an outrageous question, even if it turned out that the answer was no.

Perhaps not by you, but quite a few people on this forum are knowledgeable about higher education options from institutions in lower income countries.

That's true, but sometimes the goal is assessment of prior knowledge rather than education.

Considering his/her question, I believe the forum people were kind enough towards him/her. You must be quite insolent to ask for an 1 month degree in a forum like this.

Im pretty sure about that. I never claimed the opposite. But I'm also pretty sure that a non accredited college from a lower income country is quite likely to offer what he/she needs.

You are right. But.. if for some reason, his/her employer/s do a small reasearch about his/her degree, then he/she will ~most probably~ loose the job.
I strongly believe that we have to consider every small detail towards important things. Education is for sure something important.

I'm not sure what you think "insolent" means, but it doesn't refer to asking an honest question to knowledgeable people when one don't know the answer.

Stupid ideas can be mocked. Don't take it personally. If you thought that you can get your degree in one month, you needed a cup of cold water. A portfolio assessment degree must be based on previous credit-worthy accumulation of knowledge, experience and highly relevant course training. Since you have not revealed that you have any such training and only talked about a "fast degree", the post was rightly seen as being ridiculous. It suggested that you're trying to find ways to skip the whole learning phase. That's why I jokingly referred to the print out diploma. Also, if you're writing the way you do (simply atrocious), people are going to start asking questions about whether there is anything wrong with you. This may not be pleasant. However, we live in a world where people make observations. Sure, it may not be nice for your ideas to be the object of ridicule. However, a public forum invites responses. Should people be mocked for being autistic? I don't believe so. However, it would be good to let us know if you have such problems, as it is not a fun condition. If you just have problems with your keyboard, it would be good to let us know ahead of time. That way, the autism issue won't even be raised and your personal difficulties will be taken into consideration. Just don't wear the mantle of a martyr, ok.

Alternatively, we could all abide by Wheaton's Law and then none of that would be necessary.

When someone uses the "reddit" as source, ask in a forum like this about a fast diploma while its commons sense that it CANNOT happen (in a normal way) and doesnt acknowledge what other people advise him/her but she/he keeps on repeating the same thing because deep in her/his mind there's a magic way for that, then insolent is the most polite word.

Not to play the "old man" card here, but you're talking about how one should behave in a forum like this when you've literally only been here since Thursday.

Instead of being mad at me for asking the question--based on the tone and content of your only post here--you could take a look at the reactions to that post and learn from it.

If you have met all the requirements already for a bachelor's degree from, say, Excelsior College, you might be able to get an evaluation to that effect in such a short period of time. Do you? If not, the answer to your query is "no."

Also, perhaps you can return to those fora and seek clarification if this one doesn't produce an answer to your liking.

(Usual comments about writing skills inserted here.)

Um....okay. But those programs usually require prerequisites, right? And if this is the reason you need a "batchlor degree" quickly, it doesn't hold up. You can always apply at a later date.

Really? A master's degree in just a few months?

I'm sorry, but you must be travelling very near the speed of light for time to dilate like that. (Bachelor's in a month; master's in a few while waiting to enter the 1-year nursing BSN program.)

Take a deep breath, formulate your thinking, and ask cogent questions in a mannerly way.

    Abracadabra,

You've posted the exact same message on degreeforum.net. How many other forums are you planning to invade? The users on that other forum have likewise been puzzled by your "ambitious plans." They asked the same questions: "Within the next two months, you mean? Do you already have any coursework completed?" Here's what you said in response: "Yes, the next two months. i dont have any." You were then told that the Big 3 and WGU are not diploma mills, which shows that your post sparked similar reactions. Later, you revealed your preference for open book proctored exams only, which prompted one user to ask: Why would care about proctoring unless you intend to cheat? You responded in the following way: "I just want it to be an open book proctored exam. "

Your username reveals that you may be a believer in magic. Good luck with earning your degree within a two-month period!

There's nothing wrong with checking out what others think, especially if you're unhappy with what you've learned so far. Abra will either conform his beliefs (and subsequent behaviors) to the reality of the situation or not. This, I think, is one of the ways that degree mill customers are created. They say, "Why should I spend all that time and energy taking courses and studying for tests when I can get a degree at Whatsamatta U for $300.00? After all, I'm as smart as those punky college kids. I deserve it!" So "Best of luck!" I say. If you ever decide to actually earn a legitimate degree then we'll be here to help.

    WoW! Just saw that!

I'm not quite new here. You see I belong to the lurker club.

As for the behaviour , neither I nor you are admins so yeah, I'm not here to guide people towards specific behaviours. I told my honest opinion about his mentality based on your mention about the insolent word.

Besides althought I disagree, I offered him 2 realistic solutions ~unlike you..~. And I think that's more polite than ..for example, your answers to me x2 times.

Anyway, sorry for the off-topic but I had to answer because I spoke about an other guy and received answers from another which is not nice.
