New from Harvard Extension School

New for 2019-20 at Harvard Extension School:

• A new Master of Liberal Arts degree field in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Low-residency, with a minimum three courses that are on campus only, with some courses available in summer or short January term schedules.

• New graduate certificates in Data Analytics, Digital Storytelling, Project Management, and Sustainable Food Systems.

• A graduate certificate in Sustainable Cities and Communities replaces one in Green Building and Sustainable Communities, and a graduate certificate in Marketing Management and Digital Strategy replaces one in Marketing Management alone.

• New pathways from MITx MicroMasters programs into HES ALMs in Data Science, Finance, and Information Management Systems.

 

I am interested in the path of MITX MIcroMaster programs into HESL ALM in Finance; however, I could not find anywhere MITx MicroMaster.

 

Twist: It's the MITx MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science (one MicroMasters, double-barrelled title, neither of the barrels Finance). From HES: MITx MicroMasters® Program Pathway to the Finance Degree Program.

 

That is interesting, you can get a MicroMaster from MIT in Statistics and Data Science and Harvard University's Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) in Finance. I might look into the option...

 

I did the Harvardx Data Science certificate program and it was pretty messy. The examples weren't thorough enough, and I wound up having to figure out the problems entirely on my own without using the class material. I didn't even bother to get the certificate.

Hopefully, their other programs are better.

 

HarwardX via edx offers great classes.

I think one exceptionally popular set of classes is the CS50s - Computer Science. There are six courses available.
