We might be THE poorest country in Europe (despite possessing space rocket technology), but we never fail to entertain:

The frontrunner already has significant experience leading the country - on TV, as a star of his own sitcom "Servant of the People". I can't express my feelings in words fit to print.

That's worked out totally perfectly for the U.S.! ;)

Better to have a comedian for a president than a joke for a president.

I really, really, really suspect that Ze is both. Can't see the case for him whatsoever; yet he wins with 73% (which is I believe the highest anyone got for President).
To be fair, the incumbent cleared the road for Ze by turning the elections into mud-slinging contest and pre-burying all plausible competition. Also, to be fair, Zelensky's shows, correcting for the size of the market, were more popular than The Apprentice; I'm fed up with his comedy revue for a while but can't argue with success. I didn't watch the sitcom where he plays President; might be world's longest series of election ads (fairly popular, too). Now in the third season, but they will presumably have to change the name from "Servant of the People" to "news".
