I'm not sure I agree with the premise here. Is hiring costly when the school is simply getting a PT adjunct? They already have piles of applications.
This is a decent point except for 1 thing. Hiring costs are comprised of more than just reviewing applications. Staff time is involved in interviewing, background checks and various types of training once a specific person is hired.
