This isn't quite the same but, for your viewing pleasure, an oldie but baddie from NYC:

Gareth Martinis was involved in a vehicle accident on the Henry Hudson Parkway in the Bronx that killed 5 people and injured one motorist on May 19, 1963 while driving drunk. He was the son of a Bronx Judge named Joseph A. Martinis. Three of his colleagues presided over the case and eventually acquitted Martinis of all the charges. In 1970, Gareth was involved in another vehicle on the same highway while driving drunk.

There's nothing new under the son.

It seemed so at the time. But they got away with it and that was that.

The lawyer: "Ethan has been intensely monitored for alcohol and illegal substance use, including constantly wearing the required patch, for more than 20 months and has never been positive for the use of any substance before."

    And now he has. So?
