The article is bullshit from the first sentence. The wall is not "much needed." No one actually believes the wall is necessary and even now it only serves as a symbol of Trumps idiotic ineffectiveness as a policy maker. 'Bullshit' and 'Pelosi' are the same. Separation policy? Think Obama and you'll have it right. That policy came to be for the abuse of illegal alien children by illegal alien adults. Democrats don't give a flying crap about immigrants or anyone. They want power so they want votes.
There's no immigration bill because the Republicans, even when they held both houses, couldn't get their act together and agree to anything. Now that they lost all those seats in the mid-terms, they've lost their chance. As for the wall, Trump can't even get McConnell to put the funding for the wall into the budget. It's dead.
I think if we are objective, there is no immigration bill because both parties win. The Democrats gets to pretend that they care, so they can get the minority votes. The republicans on the other hand get to talk tough on border security, but protect big businesses that need cheap labor of undocumented immigrants . None of these people in the high echelon of the parties care very little about immigrants. It is all about winning the votes’ strategy
When the Democrats take control of the House in January they will at least have the power to submit/vote on an immigration bill of their own design. If they don't do that at some point then it would seem that your cynicism is well deserved.
You can both be right, since Democrats can pass a bill in the House that they know won't see the light of day in the Senate, and Republicans can do the opposite.
Reform of the immigration system has been an issue for a while. This will not be the first time that Democrats had control in recent memory . Let me guess, eventually they will lose control, then regain control. That is how a two-party system works. Undocumented immigrants is too good a base booster for both parties.
