All together now: the president of the United States does not control the economy....

Bullet point number five is just plain disgusting! He put 16,000 working families out of work. How is that supposed to help the economy. Such a effin loser! You seem to be so proud of that, shame on you! Let's see how you feel if you suddenly get laid off. What a bunch of wankers. ARGH!

    MAGA Baseball Figures

    - The New York Yankees have a win/loss record of 100-62 (.617)

    - The New York Yankees pitching staff have a collective ERA of 3.78

    - The New York Yankees won the wildcard game against the Oakland Athletics

    - The New York Yankees will be starting Game 1 of the ALDS against the Boston Red Sox tonight.

As a huge Yankees fan, I'd say that Donald Trump is doing an absolutely fantastic job!!!!

Well, it's 5-0 Boston at the moment so I guess that Trump must have left Pence in charge tonight

Help the economy? You've apparently confused these jobs for ones in the private sector.

Also, employers employ individuals, not "families". Presumably, some of them have families and some do not.

Any lost job affects a family in one way or other. I would presume most ee's have families. Why should it matter. The more the unemployed, the worst for the economy, less spending power, etc.

Then why not simply have government employ everyone, so that everyone can be well off?

    (Spoiler: This has been tried.)

SteveFoerster, your cultic and hypnotic mantra is only partially correct, so you will be given partial credit for it. o_O

SteveFoerster, Presidential Donald J. Trump has been able to get other nations to reduce or eliminate their huge and unfair tariffs against United States products, which is having a direct impact on segments of the economy. The president is achieving fair trading deals with multiple nations and it is impacting multiple segments of the U.S. economy, as well as influencing the U.S. market. Obama was unequivocally clueless on how to get other nations to drop their tariffs, but President Trump is "business savvy" in that marketing arena. MAGA.

SteveFoerster, the Ford Motor Company is (1) eliminating their human jobs out of the USA and (2) into robotized manufacturing in Red China. Like you said, POTUS is not responsible for replacing human jobs with robots.

"As a candidate, Trump threatened Ford with tariffs when it proposed building a plant in Mexico. The company backed out of those plans and opted to expand in China instead. The main blow from the Trump tariffs have delivered to automakers has been in the cost they have added to many of the parts they import from China."

SteveFoerster, the real threat to the U.S. is not Russia Russia Russia. The real threat to the U.S. is China, to include unfair trade practices and currency manipulation. President Trump is working on it, but it's going to take some time because the Communist Chinese are underhanded and dirty. China is in a war, but the U.S. has not figured it out yet.

The great red menace is stronger than it has been in over a century. They've used ingenious tactics to come ahead in the trade market, have completely dominated the field and have way too much power. They're running circles around us and at this point, we should be extremely nervous. It's too late to undo the damage that's already occurred, so we just have to hope that the Yankees can pull ahead and force a game 5.

What's new and strange to me is that all the good economic news these days doesn't seem to move the needle much in the polls for the upcoming Congressional elections. It looks pretty stable; the House will likely go to the Democrats and the Senate will remain with the GOP. It's like no one is listening to the other side at all. Then again, 2016 taught me not to bet the farm on the polls!
