I'm planning to take a course related to Psychology but my boyfriend wants me to take an IT course similar to him. This way, we can be in the same university and avoid the disastrous long distance relationship path. I'm so confused. What do I do?

Maybe I'm missing something but . . . this is a distance learning discussion board right? Why can't you take your Psychology course from wherever you're living?

Well, we want to study on-campus just to have that hands-on experience and be more involved physically with our studies. But since we have different courses in mind, there are two different universities that we are looking into. His choice doesn't offer Psychology because they are more focused on information and technology. My choice doesn't have IT because it's more like a research-based campus focused on Social Science.

And so it seems a compromise is ahead.

I am prepared to compromise but I also want him to do a compromise. I think that my partner just needs to get over his insecure attachment so we can work things out on not going to the same university.

Perhaps you could start a GoFundMe page

Dump the jerk. Oh, and become a lesbian. It will enhance your college experience. (Allison Bechtel did so and ended up with a Tony Award for Fun Home.)

Besides, as Kizmet said, we are a distance learning board. We are neither Dear Abby nor Dr. Phil.

Thank you for your suggestion Kizmet. I'll be checking it later too.

The GoFundMe page is for paying for your couples therapy.
