    Hello Guys,

So after some extensive research, it seems EBS's MBA suits my needs perfectly. However, i do have some questions.
If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.
    1. How does Edinburgh Business School rank in the UK? and Europe? According to this quora question here Duncan Chapple said that:

"You are thinking of the similarly named Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University. It is not ranked and does not not any meaningful international accreditation.

    2. I went on their Student Portal system, it seems all what is required is just to start buying the courses? I didnt present any papers yet nor got accepted but i can start buying and studying courses?
    3. Its pretty affordable, around £7,000 all in all?
    Thank you for your help

I haven't seen EBS ranked in many years. EBS is the business school of Heriot-Watt which is a respected Scottish uni. Not Oxford or in the Russell Group but respected (maybe 2nd tier... but not 3rd or 4th). I know associates in England and that has been their opinion of the MBA as well in casual conversation.

The business school used to be accredited by AMBA many years ago but then got in a tiff (as I understand) and dropped it. I think it is a red flag for a US schools not to have program accreditation but it is less clear internationally. Ivey and Said (i.e. Western Ontario and Oxford) don't have program accreditation. Not to say EBS is at that level, but you get the point.

Technically, I don't think you are officially recognized unless you apply with credentials or pass / exempt from two courses (I could be wrong.. I looked into this years ago) but as a practical matter I think you are correct. The EBS model is "easy to get into"... "hard to get out of".

The University of Edinburgh has a VERY reputable business school. It holds accreditation from AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA. That said, I do not believe they offer any distance learning formats currently.

I do believe however that the OP was referring to the Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt. I could be wrong.

    "Edinburgh Business School"

So this is not about the University of Edinburgh.

The reason I referred to the University of Edinburgh was because I believe Kizmet shared links regarding to them. The 2nd part of my post did state that I believed he was talking about EBS at Heriot-Watt.

Do you know that when Jimi Hendrix sang "Excuse me while I kiss the sky," I thought he was saying "Excuse me while I kiss this guy." Funny, huh?

Yes, the Edinburgh Business School is not the business school of the University of Edinburgh but of Heriot Watt... confusing.

"Business studies" at Heriot Watt is rated sometimes but it isn't clear yo me if this is undergrad, the business school, or both.

Regardless, I might suggest that the ranking of the University may not be a bad proxy.
