I like 'layered learning.' Start with those few hours and let things gel and then take progressively longer lessons and you might just learn something you'll retain. How much of standard education is retained?

Fairly significant amout is retained when I replay each videos to make sure i have a deeper understanding before moving on. My excel skills have greatly improved . My current employer has Ms Dynamic GP as its ERP, so i have replayed that course a few times. LinkedIn was my first exposure to Dynamic GP. I am not sure how good the courses are about getting you the job, but the courses are excellent at making you better at doing the job.

I find LinkedIn very helpful as well. I usually watch online video tutorials and read short articles related to Human Resource. I now know what employers look for when hiring someone. This inspired me to even revamp my resume!

Linkedin is turning into a really helpful avenue to look for specific information in different niches. I feel safer to read articles in Linkedin because I know that the publishers of those articles are credible, especially if you check their profiles as well. I heard that it's also a good platform to get started with gaining real following.

In addition to the above, this looks to me a play by the Ohio libraries to stay relevant. If so, and this works, then the idea could quickly spread to other library systems.

I have the premium membership and I use it a lot. It helps me keep my knowledge current also I do not have to worry about meeting my professional development credits.
I do not think Linkined Learning is a substitute for a college degree. However, it is ideal to keep that college education current. It also provides flexibility once employed to pivot to any new technologies that are brought into the workplace.
