Facebook rejected a Franciscan University online ad as being too violent. The Facebook rejection notice reads: "Your webpage contains shocking, sensational or excessively violent content." Here is the image that Facebook flagged as inappropriate and ideologically violent: Source: http://wdtprs.com/blog/2018/04/facebook-v-the-lord/ (scroll down and read the comments LOL) Facebook = Fakebook = Fake News = Ideological manipulation of the public
I continue to marvel at the right wing free marketers railing against private companies. Thing to behold. FB, of course, does have a number of disturbing traits. Traits that are there because they are insanely profitable, not because of any ideology. See Marx's "capitalists will sell us the rope we'll use to hang them".
That seems no more remarkable than left wing interventionists railing against governments, which... happens all the time. I expect in this case what happened was simply a function of how their algorithms respond automatically to viewer reports.
It seems clear from listening to Zukerman and the Cambridge Analytica stuff that the people who run facebook have little or no idea what is happening on their site.
I think it is safe to say that a crucifixion is a violent act. If all violent acts are prohibited then I see no issue. If this is prohibited because it is religious then I see an issue even as an atheist.
