I can't say that I feel sorry for the guy. I just don't. On the other hand, he might have dodged the bullet by being fired from the WH. In which case I would say that I'm happy for him, except I'm not. Bannon is exceptionally unappealing individual (my opinion, obviously).
Yeah, Bannon's a pretty low sympathy priority for me too, somewhere way down the list near that "affluenza" drunk driving teen and Martin "Pharma Bro" Shkreli.
Bannon in charge of Facebook data at Cambridge Analytica https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/bannon-oversaw-cambridge-analyticas-collection-of-facebook-data-according-to-former-employee/2018/03/20/8fb369a6-2c55-11e8-b0b0-f706877db618_story.html?utm_term=.287d4c79d39b
If you haven't seen it, here's the film of the Cambridge Analytica CEO describing how he'll corrupt your election process http://digg.com/video/cambridge-analytica-undercover-video
So basically, everyone in Trump WH is either a crook, an incompetent, Goldman Sachs stooge, Trump family member, or about to be fired. Many are several of these things at once. And some of his 2016 campaign officials are budding supervillains (Bannon) or evil minions (Manafort, Gates, Page, Flynn). Drain-the-swamp (the slogan literally picked out by Cambridge Analytica, using models based on stolen data of Americans)! This is more bizarre than can be imagined.
Apparently Bannon has been busy scheming up a little nationalist gladiator school https://www.thedailybeast.com/steve-bannons-plan-for-alt-right-university-in-italy-to-be-revoked
