https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2017/09/22/wisconsin-one-20-states-targeted-russian-hacking-elections-systems-2016/694719001/ "Homeland Security officials said the effort was conducted by “Russian government cyber actors," according to Haas. He said he did not know which states other than Wisconsin were part of the hacking attempt." Those Russian rascals!
Is this by the government that lost FBI 160 laptops? Or, did they use the expert at USPS, where they lost nearly a million employees PII? Maybe the specialist from IRS, where 724k records lost in May 2015? Or, the OPM gurus, who assisted in the June 2015 breach? Or, do they get their advice from the NSA, who was smacked on August 2016 by the ShadowBrokers, or prior expertise in 2013 by Snowden? And on, and on, and on... Far be it from me to suggest that DHS couldn't find the exit sign even if it was lit, or that they cannot tell the difference between a keyboard and a toaster-oven. Clearly that would insult the level of intelligence and deep cyber security expertise of the exit sign and the toaster-oven... Of course, these are just my opinions; mere conjectures; I think; I believe; I reckon; it seems; it appears . . .
You're stuck with believing these people - or Dmitry Sergeyevich Peskov (in case someone doesn't know the man behind the mustache - he is a Russian counterpart of Sean Spicer, only with less shame and more hand in shady stuff).
Ukrainian power grid. Reportedly, some tablets used by Ukrainian artillery officers in the field. Bunches of stuff through Petya ransomware. German parliament. Presumably, every single system in Russia, as they have access to all traffic there through SORM equipment (not much of a hack). Why, are you keeping a list?
