It's interesting stuff. Florida has his PhD from Columbia and teaches at the U of Toronto. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Florida
I first read something by Richard Florida about 10 years ago. I smelled something fishy in his predictions of a shiny new world. Something like those "prosperity preachers." And now I read his latest "thought" - that he was wrong. "Florida’s solutions: — more affordable housing, more investment in infrastructure, and higher pay for service jobs ..." We hear this dumber-than-sh*t mantra that he's lately borrowed daily - with NO way offered to make it happen. Goodbye, Richard. Don't bother congratulating me.
Affordable housing is an oxymoron in 2017. Anyone who doesn't realize that is either a moron - or high on oxy. J.
If it sounds too good to be true... What I don't like about this guy is that he took in more than some individuals who put their good sense aside. Urban planning is a lot more than that. But this guy comes across as being something worse than a huckster, a visionary.
