When Dr. Lady let us know that this whole mess had occurred I think that most people were sympathetic with his situation. Somewhere along the line the worm turned and he took a few good shots. In the end it's too bad that the school didn't make it. Do you think there will be a sale on WLC t-shirts? Coffee mugs?:indifferent:

Didn't Dr. Lady say that they were pursuing other accreditation?

The website is still up and the accreditation page continues to state that they are DEAC accredited. Assuming that is no longer accurate then it appears that no one is updating the page. In any case, we've heard that "pursuing accreditation" line before and I think that 1) there's a BIG difference between pursuing accreditation and being accredited. An unaccredited MBA program is probably on life-support and the MD is writing a DNR order as we speak.

Agreed. Even a DEAC-accredited MBA program starts from behind the 8-ball, with so many RA and even AACSB options out there.

It's really a shame. I've always liked and respected Dr. Lady, I think he has the best of intentions, and I hope that WLC can somehow recover from this unfortunate turn of events.

I'm pretty sure he said that he has no intention of trying to salvage WLC and that that's why the lawsuit calls for the hefty damages that it does.

WLC website is not coming up.

I wonder if they shutdown operations.

It claims to be down for maintenance.

Why would a school that is shutting down close their web site "for maintenance?"

My take is that he flew the coop.

All I can say is thanks, Dave . . . for the entertainment. :lmao:

I think that in the past we've seen some kind of message go up on the front page of closing schools that indicates "we're out of business" and leaving some sort of contact info for transcripts, etc. It doesn't seem like too much to ask. Hopefully it is upcoming.

I am just curious: What happens to the students that are currently enrolled in WLC and are in the middle of taking classes?

WERE in the middle of classes, maybe, but definitely not ARE, as far as I can see. No website and and DEFINITELY no accreditation. Maybe Dr. Lady can come forward and tell us how his former (I think) students are coping ...

In the best-case scenario, when a school is going to relinquish its accreditation, there's a teach-out arrangement: students get to finish by the end of the accreditation period, or an orderly transfer to another school or schools. None that I know of here.

Umm ...does the acronym S.O.L. mean anything to you?
