Say you apply CLEP and DSST credits to an NA undergraduate degree. You then wish to apply those same credits to an RA undergraduate degree at a school that doesn't recognize NA credits/degrees.

    Can you?

    Yes.

Because, the credits are not "laundered" into something different when it is received by a school, it still exists as an independent entity.

So, if you took CLEP and DSST exams, you have official transcripts with them. You may send that transcript anywhere you wish.

As such, College A may award CLEP credit, but College B may not. The acceptance or non-acceptance by any college does not change what colleges AFTER that school will do.

I pose the acceptance of CLEP and DSST as given for the purpose of this discussion.

In RA schools, a limited number of credits/courses may be applied to two undergraduate degrees and that includes CLEP and DSST.

If an RA school, however, will not recognize NA schools then the CLEP/DSST stuff applied to the NA degree should be, I would think, applicable to a subsequent RA degree. I'm asking if that is so.

You're mis-classifying CLEP/DSST in the category of institutional credit, which it is not.

Then perhaps someone else can answer your question, as I clearly have no idea what you want to know.

    When you say "
    "

it does not. CLEP and DSST are not institutional credits. Now, if you want to split hairs and ask the question of the SAME college, then it would count in the total. For instance, you earn a BA at College A and then later return to College A for a second BA. Yes- the credits will include CLEP and DSST. Your question assumes CLEP and DSST are institutional credits, which they are not.

But others can chime in if someone has a different perspective.
