That original system was a great step ahead of what the world had known or thought possible.

They're only more embarrassing than damaging because mainstream media outlets like NPR are in damage control overdrive.

True. Trump's attempts to deflect the conversation over to Bill Clinton seem to be falling flat. Ken Star already hashed all that stuff out ages ago, extensively from what I recall. I think people are tired of hearing about, or have already heard so much about it.

It's true that everyone is circling their wagons and calling in all markers. It's likely to remain that way until it's over.

The A-qua-door' has been closed on him. But he is the spokesman and not the repository for Wikileaks.

The really sad thing is how willing the mainstream media has been to disregard what Wikileaks has released so far, and how little ordinary people care about it.

Especially the latter. In today's world, with the predominance of social media, people have the power to make something a story in spite of the mainstream press.

Julian Assange, Edward Snowden, Anonymous. They are all part of the same controlled opposition. If they were a real threat to anything the system has established they all would've been dead a long time ago. You only see what these fiends want you to see. They provide you a false hope that there is someone out there with a big stick looking out for the common person. It's a game of control.

Everything they do and have done for generations has been done with such purpose and so dead-on to the numbers that you're only kidding yourself if you believe that they would slip-up and have some lone person or band of masked avengers expose them and live to tell about it.

People are waking up, not enough yet, but people are waking up. People who are awake and can see the game realize that both Clinton and Trump are lying scumbags using variations of the same methods. If the office of President were anything more than a figurehead position, neither Clinton nor Trump would be fit to run it. They are both completely terrible options. But, because the office of President is just puppet figurehead position with no real power, it literally does not matter who is in it. If having George Dummy-You Bush League (a complete dumbass who should've been a Garbage Man) and Barack Fake Name Obama (a guy who was completely unqualified to be a small state Governor much less a President) doesn't tell you how much of a total joke this is, nothing will ever wake you up. A President is just a well-groomed agent selected to do the bidding of those in control of the system.

What I love most about election time is watching otherwise intelligent people revert to a child-like mindstate where they believe the dog and pony show they're watching is real as they take sides and fight on platforms as if they have any real say over what happens. It's fascinating but also saddening.

Listen... Clinton, Trump, Mickey Mouse. It doesn't matter. The United States will continue to run as it has according to the selfish, egomaniacal desires of those who truly control it. That will continue, unchanged, and it will only get harder for the common person just as it increasingly has for every election cycle of your entire lifetime, and it will continue that way until the day you die and thereafter.

Your one and only hope for a better life for yourself and your family rests with YOU, not with these frauds who don't give a damn about you and only wish to profit off of your labor and find new and more creative ways to do it.

...on this strange and mournful day, but Big Brother and Leaky reunion is only a motion away.

This pleads for knowing of who is in control.

Thinking of moving this post to the Conspiracy Theory thread . . . good one Max!

There's a conspiracy theory thread? Is that just for established theories or can we bring our own? And why have you been hiding this from us, huh?

I'm actually largely with Maxwell, here, although given that Snowden is in exile, Assange is in what amounts to a gilded cage, and Manning is in a decidedly ungilded cage, I don't think they're in on it.

I also don't think there's some central, well-organized Them; I expect whatever deep state there is has factions and in-fighting like any large enough structure does.

Manning is in a decidedly un-gelded cage. For now.

I'm not much for conspiracies but collusion is as common as dirt.

That's not what it says, though.

"Assange’s thinking appeared to be rooted not in ideological agreement with the right wing in the U.S., but in the tactical idea that a Republican president would face more resistance to an aggressive military posture than an interventionist President Hillary Clinton would."

Considering that supposed progressives in the U.S. who were "already against the next war" when Bush was in power became conspicuously silent once it was Obama ceaselessly ordering bombs to drop, Assange's position was at least understandable.
