Adams? Isn't that where nerds beat the Alpha Betas? It seemed like a nice place at the time.

That didn't occur to me, but now I will never think of anything else when they're mentioned....

I know this place, slightly anyway. A pleasant smallish campus situated in Colorado's San Luis Valley by, or in, the wonderful town of Alamosa. Used to have friends living there, one of whom taught English at Adams. Trivia (to most anyway): You can occasionally see actual, revenue freight trains behind steam.

Winters are long, snowy and bitterly cold.

Well, with a sales pitch like that how could I not want to move there immediately?

Maybe 10 years back, Adams State was on just about every DL-forum's radar, because they had pretty well the lowest RA tuition around for DL. Uh-oh... hope they can resolve this.

Winters like that resulted in the growth of DL. I should know -- they're like that here (Canada).

There's an Adams Co. that's a big distiller here - mainly whiskey. Back before I quit, you could say I was in an Adams state -- many times.

The nerds prefer to be known as the Tri-Lambs (Lambda Lambda Lambda).
