Pretty paltry compared to other candidates in the past (note the more robust disclosures by recent Democrats):

Tax History Project -- Presidential Tax Returns

Romney's dad released 12 years' worth in 1968 during his failed run.

Mittens is the wrong messenger regarding Trump. This is just one of the reasons why.

I was merely pointing out that your response re disclosing a single year Form 1040 and a summary tax return for one other year (re Romney) was inaccurate…

Whether or not Mitt is the wrong messenger re Trump (you could be right) is just your opinion and prerogative to offer Rich. Nonetheless, such doesn’t automatically make your view correct either…

Now who's mistaken? I didn't say I was correct. I just offered an opinion. As for Romney, I said it was one return when it was actually two.

    Trump? Self-check.

LOL Rich! Your responses are becoming as predictable as the rising and setting of the sun. At least you entertain me.

What are you talking about? Obama's birth certificate has been released, but a significant percentage of Republicans still do not believe he was born in the U.S. Obama also released his tax returns.

Trump and Sanders have very little in common, so it is odd to switch from one to another. Trump would probably be the last person running who Sanders would support. Trump is not even being supported by his own party. I dislike Ted Cruz, but I hope he or some other serious politician wins the nomination to restore some sanity back to this election. Kasich has the most broad appeal on the Republican side, as did Jon Huntsman, but candidates like that have no chance of winning the Republican nomination in the Tea Party era.

I was talking about his education records which he will not release. I like sanders because of his anti private prisons stance as well as his drug law policys. Not everyone is so narrow minded as you. I can move to different parties with ease. I bet you vote democratic ticket and not by each individual. I refuse to stay on their plantation another hundred years as a slave. My mother can not fathom voting for a Republican, I ask her what has a Democrat done for the black man? Nothing.

Okay Rich … I’m not biting in playing the game of parsing of words with you … a pointless exercise. I did however; support my point that [you] did post erroneous info as to Romney’s public release of his tax returns, along with the completeness of taxable income information disclosed by Romney for tax years 2010 and 2011.

How many times do you need to repeat a point that's not being disputed?

This probably belongs in the conspiracy theory thread, but I remember people saying that the real reason he wouldn't release his educational records is that they would show he had international student status. (I think it's easier to believe his grades were crappy. And I would sympathize, since mine were too at that age.)

I'm pretty sure if you compare the positions of Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump there's not a lot of overlap, but I've heard there are people who prefer either of them to any of the other major party candidates because, if nothing else, they both come across (rightfully or wrongfully) as Washington outsiders.

You're the one who is narrow-minded and lacks the ability to hold a civil conversation without violating TOS by personally attacking members. Just because I don't support a troll like Donald Trump does not mean that I have never voted for a Republican. I am a registered independent who has voted for a mix of Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, and Green Party members. Since you can't acknowledge that both parties have done negative and positive things for minorities, then that also paints you as narrow-minded and, yet, you considered voting for a Democrat.

I might ask you the same question Rich…

And you're correct ... the point is not being disputed now as your inaccurate post is/was indisputable and exposed as such; but mostly you just hate to be be called out /corrected…

Perhaps you should have more closely reviewed the Tax History Project -- Presidential Tax Returns you referenced prior to authoring your post…

    Cheers

Gee, lacking an agenda? I think not. Two instead of one and you post HOW many times about it? And how many times since I've acknowledged this distinction without a difference? Yet you blow off your idiotic confusion about the difference between a statement of fact and an opinion? You're a juvenile. I'll pass.

No confusion or personal agenda Rich. Your statement of fact was false—but more notably … you predicated your opinion on that falseness. Don’t go away mad … just go AND without the exit theatrics.

P.S. You’ll never simply pass Rich … to do so does not exist within either your DNA or EQ level.

I could be handed the complete tax returns of every Presidential candidate out there, given a year to study them, and I still wouldn't understand any of it. I'm dependent on the "experts" in the media and the respective candidate's campaigns (ALL of whom have their own agendas) to decipher that stuff, so therefore I give it no credence whatsoever.

All I know is that every one of them makes a lot more than I do.

On a lighter note. Some in the Spanish speaking community refer to Trump as "El Trompeta" (The Trumpet). I am bilingual English/Spanish, but my primary language is English. For some reason, I find that certain Spanish words sound funnier to me when they are said in Spanish.

That's hilarious! I have never heard that old English word. The Hispanic culture has various traits and cultures depending on country and race ( contrary to popular belief here in the US, that includes "white" Hispanic races/European, like my dad). In the Mexican culture (from Mexico), people are assigned monikers like El Tigre, El chivas, etc. One fellow I know is called El pansas (big bellied) because he is quite rotund, and has a big ass belly. These are meant to be terms of endearment, rather than offensive. For example, when I go to Mexico, I am called as El dragon" because of my Martial arts background. This is part of the reason why Trump was assigned the moniker of "El Trompeta). Plus the Mexican people have a very funny sense of humor.
