    Hello,

Anyone experience or have some info about https://www.globalnxt.edu.my/gnxt/ ? I am considering it's DBA program. There is a discount upto 50% if we apply for this current batch and seems like they have been granted MQA ( Malaysian Qualification Framework Agency) approval from Malaysian government.

Please share your experience, opinion and review.

    Alex

Maybe they're the next Wharton, but I just can't get over what an incredibly stupid name that is.

The school says it is part of Manipal Group, a very large Indian health and education enterprise. I found this success story on Manipal here: Forbes India Magazine - Ranjan Pai of the Manipal Group Has Hit the Sweet Spot with Investors

The school has MQFA approval as a private University and programs have additional accreditation from a Belgian programmatic accreditation body, EFMD. I really know nothing about EFMD, except that, to its credit, it appears to have links with EQUIS, a well-known European programmatic accreditor -and also association with other respected agencies. More info on EFMD here: https://www.efmd.org/

I think you kind of have to go with the flow, when it comes to University names, in places where the English spoken daily may differ widely from BBC - or NBC - dialect. Best example I can remember: Lovely Professional University - a respected, properly credentialed school in India. As another poster wrote - "Well, at least they didn't call it Sexy Professional University."

My best advice - in other countries, look at the school, not the name.

Well, at least they did not make the same mistake these schools did with their names, enjoy:

This school is in Canada. The name is a mouthful.
University of Ontario Institute of Technology. The Institute of Technology part of the nome now appears in smaller letters.

This is cute. I graduated from a university called National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute". UOIT is concise and to the point in comparison.

Looking for a fully online Doctorate Program? Manipal GlobalNxt University’s Doctorate degree in Business Administration (DBA) could be the best way ahead!

Just sharing not endorsing. I would not attend this school because of its crappy name.

Formerly Universitas 21 Global and Global e-University. There's so many bad university names out there. Who picks them? Just start with a plant or a type of wood, tweak the name slightly and you're done. But instead they have to go with Compuglobalhypermeganxt University.

What exactly is the DBA tuition, and where did you see the 50% discount?

I know what you mean, but "bad" is in the eye of the beholder, and we're not the target market. I gather that in a lot of the world these are seen as modern.
