Member? Let's see if it gets accredited, like California Paramount University and Orlando University. ASIC found it necessary to de-accredit the schools in both cases.

I give up on this Axact stuff. I can't stop a single individual from wasting his/her money on it - or pulling a fast one and becoming Chief of Surgery, either.

Besides, I've just found a proper school in India that might take me on, to teach me Sanskrit by DL. Just wrote them. Seems like a better idea...

BTW - as a last word on the subject (from me, anyway), I don't know why Axact "degrees" are so popular in Arab countries. Here's a warning about what could happen in the UAE (including lifetime ban on employment). Old article.

Here's a very sad message received today from a reliable and knowledgeable contact in Pakistan:

    "Oh Yes Sir!
They are back and running in full throttle.
Hiring is on for both Axact and their Media Arms "BOL".
All cases against Axact and it's owners and directors have been dropped and they have been released.
I have a gut feeling that FBI is not doing much itself as well.
Everywhere money is the language. Sooner or later everyone will grind it's own axe and End of Story.
Nothing is gonna happen against Axact, be it Pakistan or even USA !!!"

How true. Best Axact summary I've heard. Feels good to stop beating my head on that wall!

I'm not holding out much hope, here. They're already back in production.

In a perfect model, you then start a new religion - and it broadcasts 24/7 on your TV station. That way, you can lock up the nation's entire money supply.

Agreed. But maybe not only the FIA. FBI was said to be assisting and we haven't heard anything, have we? I mean anything about American-based "schools" linked to Axact in media reports (and the odd lawsuit, IIRC). Maybe they're just too busy with Hillary's email...

Not only have we not heard anything from the FBI but if you go to the FBI website and use their search widget (keywords Axact, Shoaib Sheikh) you get exactly nothing about this case. I have to admit that when I started this thread 14 months ago, I didn't think it would end this way.:raincloud::sigh1:

    Sigh it is.

Say hello to Queensburg, Drumount, Cranville, Brinwood, Groveshire and Ed Barton. The usual stuff, xxxuniversity dot com,
dedicated servers and the chat box.

What a hodge-podge of .... coincidence, I guess. Assistant Chancellor of Queensburg U., Bruce Sewell, has the same name as Apple Corp.'s General Counsel. Apple's Bruce Sewell was the only person of that exact name I could find on the web. I think Bruce Sewell of Queensburg U. is an invention. Then again, isn't that what Queensburg U. itself is?

Click on the Queensburg site's video (Bruce Sewell) and you get a blurb for Nicholasville U., yet another in the Axact Chain. Linking all these together could drive me crazy -- and I'm already nuts!

Exit Johann, stage left, humming Aretha Franklin's "Chain of Fools."

Turns out Drumount wasn't new, the site was just re-registered. Bradlay, Manston and Granton are new though, at least to me.

By the way, the TV channel, Bol, was just about to be launched when the NYT published the Axact article so it's not really new either.

String 'em up by the Bols, I say!

Nicholasville U. is a new one, to me. It has no less than four "accreditors" including the World Accrediting Council on Engineering Education. WACEE, pronounced "wacky," I suppose.

New dimension to this Axact stuff. Stock photos and "Bios" of mythical "faculty" and "staff" of Axact schools are appearing on Linked-in, as if they were "real" people. Plus all sorts of "grad students" & others posting on Vimeo, Youtube, etc.
