    Hi everyone,

I would like to learn spanish. I speak no Spanish and would like to learn. My wife and her whole family speak Spanish fluently and I would llike to join conversations. When I Google "learn how to speak spanish" too many options appear and I feel overwhelmed. Is there a certain book/tape or strategy anyome recommend from their expirence on learning spanish?

    Thanks!

Try Duolingo: https://www.duolingo.com/ You can learn on your computer or your smartphone. It covers reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Best of all, it's free.

Yep - Duolingo. I started exactly 1 month ago, I'm learning French. :)

Ask your wife to speak Spanish to you. Try to immerse yourself as much as you can. Listen to Spanish radio programming, watch Spanish language TV such as Univision and Telemundo. If you have cable or satellite you might have access to several Spanish language channels as well, of course this depends on where you live. Duolingo, Rosetta Stone, and other programs like it are good. However, you must immerse yourself in the language to fully grasp it. Te deseo mucha suerte amigo.
