How did you find the job? How many hours per week is required? Is teaching experience required? Since a lot of online classes seem fairly automated, what exactly are your responsibilities? What is the selection process like? Easy to get hired? What is the pay? I'm a medical doctor and just became a little curious about this after one of my old friends got a part-time job teaching at a community college for fun. I'm pretty busy, but it might be fun to try, if not too time consuming.
Oops. I totally missed this subforum. Thanks moderator for moving this to the correct forum. After reading a little bit here, I guess most of these questions have already been answered. I guess I still want to know the best way to find these jobs, which jobs/subjects require the least amount of time commitment, and what would a MD qualify someone to teach? A&P, micro, I assume maybe some other biology classes, health sciences, maybe psychology?
New User, There is a very active Facebook group for online teachers with over 4,600 members. It's called "Make A Living Teaching Online." Should be easy enough to find. It's a treasure trove of info on the topic.
