Just wondering, for those who have done CS/IT classes online. How is it taught ? I know math classes are very textbook based. Read topic, do exam paper.
What about the rest ? I always had the impression IT classes ought to be hands on and practical based kinda learning. Maybe do a project if it's a programming class ?

The programming classes that I teach include several components such as following a textbook and other outside resources, doing activities and quizzes (some from text, some instructor developed) and yes, doing several projects throughout the course including one final project.

I took several courses to prep for the CCNA, they were done through the cisco portal - everything was done in virtual labs. Remember, lots of theory in CS... if you want real hands on, a technical college with a 2 year diploma is the way to go...
