So now that you've decided to get your MBA, what did/ are you going to minor in and what led you to that specific minor?

Once I complete the core curriculum, I have to pick a minor. Originally I was going after a general MBA (nothing wrong with that) but now I'm open to looking at other minors so I'm just curious what other people pursued . . .

I think what you're referring to is a concentration, not a minor. A minor is done in undergrad, typically in a focus area not directly related to the major.

My concentration is Healthcare Management. I'm currently a nurse and am also in an MSN/FNP program. I'm doing the MBA with HM concentration because I have a long-term plan of opening my own practice, whereby I'll need some business acumen. I figure, it also can't hurt to have it in order to get my foot in the door at an existing practice, as most MD's and NP's don't have any business background.

I personally did accounting, though UND doesn't offer it anymore. Being an IS major, this made sense as a secondary concentration for my studies.

Not a minor, but a concentration in Management and Organizational Development

I did a concentration in Corporate Finance. If I had it to do over, I might have done Accounting instead.

I "minored" in "having a job."

I was a military officer and transferred in the midst of my MBA. I had to scramble to take whatever courses I could to finish and, thus, couldn't do a concentration. I don't think it's ever mattered, but that's because my career experience always trumped it.

Yes. Although I lead a department of global engineers in IT, I perform budget reconciliation and forecasting. I believe Accounting might have been a slightly more relevant concentration, even though I'm not putting together income or cash statements.

There were no concentrations offered when I went through my MBA program. It was a one-size-fits-all general business curriculum.

I'm tetering between a general concentration or a finance consideration. I took a finance course during my undergrad and I (surprisingly) enjoyed it. But just because I liked one specific finance course, doesn't mean I would like finance overall (Being that my undergrad course most likely barely scratched the surface).

I have a few months before I need to decide. So I'm curious to see what you folks did and why.
