I've looked at Fielding off and on in the past, since their PhD in Clinical Psychology is the only APA-accredited distance learning Clinical Psychology program that I am aware of. They have some pretty neat concentrations for that PhD, as well as some other pretty appealing concentrations in their PhD in Human Development.

Has anyone had any experience with this school that you would feel comfortable speaking about?

I looked at them, and would have given their EdD strong consideration had it not been for their astronomical tuition rate, which at present would take at least $68,000 to complete a doctoral program.

I believe their PsyD program runs about 20k/year. The program takes 5-7 years to complete, so you would be looking at between 100-120k!

Right now their tuition is $24,900 per year for the PhD in Clinical Psychology... which is comparable to most PsyD programs. There do seem to be quite a few scholarship opportunities as well. Keep in mind that this is the ONLY distance learning APA accredited clinical doctorate around, so there is no competition to keep the cost down.

Keep in mind that a lot of on campus programs have full or partial funding. PsyDs not so much.

Although PsyD programs generally do not provide funding for their students, some do. Radford University, for instance, allows for tuition waivers for their students who are approved for Graduate Assistantships.

As far as Fielding's PhD is concerned... being able to complete an APA-accredited degree via distance is an extreme luxury (right now). Therefore, they don't need to offer finding. Once there is more competition in that area, I'm sure that you'll see that change.
