Another worthless Yahoo ad. Does an MPA make more then an MBA on average...doubt it.

I respect all those who have an abiding love of, and commitment to history, Ted -- but did you really need to look?

    Is grad school worth it?

I've earned one professional M and one research M, one professional D, and one research D (Yes, all accredited). Is grad school worth it?
Will I get rich from earning these four degrees? No!

Did I benefit personally from earning these degrees? Absolutely!
Did earning these degrees facilitate my career? Absolutely!
Have I utilized what I learned from these degrees? Absolutely, almost every day!
Would I do it again? A little differently, but absolutely!

Yes, grad school was worth it for me.

It's our lot in life to be well-educated and poor. Ah well.

It is sad that these type articles rarely include technical degrees.

If it's something that you really love to do then it is always worth it :)!

Yep. With the push and need for STEM graduates, it is disappointing that we aren't seeing graduates with master's in areas such as engineering or biotechnology (just throwing out two examples) on lists like this.

Three out of the five are health care related - building an economy/education with an emphasis on ill health is not a good long term strategy.
