You may also want to take a look at FM 6-22, Leader Development (Jun. 2015). Even though the field manual is a Department of the Army publication; nonetheless, its contents are so very relevant to all leadership roles, whether military or industry (e.g., "...leader, by virtue of assumed role or assigned responsibility, inspires and influences people to accomplish organizational goals."). And genuine leadership [is] founded on servant leadership…

Well, hypothetically speaking, if anyone really cares, the Forbidden Secrets book was written by an educational administrator with an EdD degree who had a religious conversion experience who is now convinced that public education is a vast plot to get little school children to bow down to the state (when they should be bowing down to God).

Thanks to my Cumberlands class that's about to start (Historical Development of Leadership Theories), I know the next three I read will be Taming the Prince: The Ambivalence of Modern Executive Power by Harvey C. Mansfield, and Leadership and Transforming Leadership by James McGregor Burns.

I've just started reading Jonathan Kellerman's Bad Love. It's been great so far just like his other books that I've read.

We stayed with family over the holiday and I had the pleasure of looking through my SIL's bookshelf for nightly reading. I read Catch Me if You Can, which was written in the 80's and later turned into a movie. So, I remember seeing the movie (which was fine) but this book was OUTSTANDING. Oh my gosh, I seriously loved it. Nutshell- teenager drops out of high school at age 16 and turns into a conman. He details his cons and works as a lawyer, a pilot, a doctor, and others before eventually getting caught at age 20. Total page turner!
