We were notified by DEAC at 4 pm Central Time yesterday. DEAC notifies the school about 24-hours before they publish the information.

If they did indeed get the accreditation, kudos to NationsUniversity. I guess we sit back and wait...

I will be very happy to see them accreditated, I studied for quite a few courses there, it was a wonderful experience.

Congrats. When is your launch scheduled? Can't wait to hear what Dr. Steve Levicoff has to say about this accreditation!

Can you please provide a link? I visited the website and could not find any accreditation information. I also visited the DEAC website and could not find information there. So a link would be nice, thank you.

It's listed on the DEAC website as accredited June 2015. Some people are going to have to eat their words. This is exciting news!

Oh Yes! I left one course to be completed, and I just started on it today! It seems that I will have myself an accredited bachelors in short order. Thanks to all on this site who advised me not to complete the degree and wait to see how this all panned out. I had faith as they were and are a great group of people.

I fall squarely into that category.

To me, Nations has, for a while now, thrown up enough red flags that I was willing to put money on the fact that it was likely never to achieve accreditation (likely because it was starting to appear like they were relying on the DEAC application to provide some form of legitimacy). But, appearances can be deceiving. What else can I say? I was wrong. And I'm happy to have been wrong.

I've made it clear that I tend to feel a bit more charitable toward purely religious institutions when they award purely religious degrees and appear to be making a good faith effort. That attitude has put me at odds with others (with whom I almost always agree) on the subject of LBU and Trinity (Newburgh). Those debates will likely continue on. But the main issue with Nations is no longer a point of debate.

So, indeed, I will eat my words. I've opted to braise them and serve them along with sides of crow and my favorite hat.

Congratulations to all of the folks at NationsUniversity! This is a huge milestone for them, and I look forward to many great things to come!

For those who have been through the courses/program with NU, what are expenses like for textbooks? Is it possible to get through the programs with minimal purchases of books?

That may have been true a few years ago but now there are a number of textbooks. None are very expensive but there are quite a few.

Please don't revive a thread with the title: "Breaking news: NationsUniversity withdraws DETC (now DEAC) accreditation". Some people might be upset when they see the headline. ;-)
