Happy new year to all. I was wondering if someone can provide some suggestion about how to get an online adjunct position. I have two masters degree (accounting and taxation), and CPA, CFE designation with professional experience for more than 7 years. Currently, I am an adjunct with a local B&M four year college. However, I had no luck with online teaching. So far, I sent so many applications but no response. Is it because of lack of PhD or something else? Thank You. hal123
What schools have you applied to? With a CPA I would assume they would be beating down your door with offers.

I easily got my first two online teaching jobs over ten years ago when this was sort of a "new" thing. I still work for the same two schools. One of the schools hired me with a Master's but now requires all new hires to have a doctorate. I did get my doctorate but this school did not pressure me to do so. I recently got hired for a third online school. I believe they did require the Ph.D. but I'm not sure. It was over a year since I had submitted an application so I was rather surprised when they called. I had sent out many applications to many other schools, hoping to get one or two additional schools, and it sure is different than when I applied ten years ago!
