If I got my masters or ph.d in Psychology O/I would a BA/BS in business help strengthen my ways of landing a better career? or would economics suit me better? Intentions: product development, consumer development, corporate advisement.
I am confused. So, what you are saying that you currently possess a Master and Ph.D in Psychology in Organizational/Industrial. You want to know whether if you're going for Bachelor degree in Business would help to land a better career?
A business degree would be a good supplement to anyone working with a non-business degree. I met an MD with an MBA; he said it helped with the business side of his practice. Engineers obtain MBAs which helps as they transition to management.
I think is trying to say that yesterday he wanted to obtain a Master in Psychology and today he wants to obtain a Business degree to land a better career.
I'd take business over psych unless your goals are strictly to work in the field of psychology. Better yet, get a business degree that includes a useful skill set like accounting or finance.
This is a hypothetical situation, that if/when i obtain my masters or Ph.d in O/I psychology, would a business degree help me land a career in the O/I psychology world. As in O/I psychology it is highly based around the business world. The logical choice would be yes, but I've heard that business degrees are a dime a dozen, and an economics degree is higher in regard. I was just curious if it'd help my chances in the O/I job field, not switching careers all together.

Discounting all the teaching positions it looks like you will have a chance at a position with just your I/O Masters. Seems like a lot of the positions involve having some business accumen in their specific field to supplement your I/O education. But, perhaps the MBA will help you out in that regard as well. Some jobs also list the I/O degree along with a myriad of other choices that qualify you for the position as well. Such as this one: Coca-Cola Refreshment Careers It's with Coke and they will take anyone with "MBA / MA / MS in Organization Development, Communication, I/O Psychology or related field". Again, you probably need domain experience for these types of jobs. Good luck to you.

A business degree is always helpful to help you with the intricacies of business. No doubt that the field will give you a hands-on knowledge but having a theoretical knowledge before that, is extremely important too. It makes your mind prepared for the challenges to come.
Degree means more in today for all. If you have a higher educational qualification it will be good for your career.
psychology in business is termed consumer behavior. if you are interested in this area then a business degree is the way to go because you will learn about this marketing in all business degrees. also if your intentions are product development/consumer development then a business degree would be advisable. business degrees are very broad. for example a business graduate can have a career working with engineers, bring their new products to market and selling them.
