In the quest to finally get my bachelor's degree, I checked the unofficial transcript of my last college (and I've been to several) and, if I'm reading it right, I've earned 252.40 QPTS. What do I do now that I want it all to translate into a bachelor's degree? -- Shakurra

I would suggest looking into the Big 3 of "transfer schools":
    Excelsior College
    Thomas Edison State College
    Charter Oak State College

Make sure that you are not looking at quality points. Instead of credits, they are used to calculate your gpa. You want to look for the number of credits, semester hours or quarter hours.

Aha! Went back and looked at my Analysis of Academic Progress and it showed "the real deal". I have 129.50 credits. Thanks for your help.

Most bachelor programs are 120 semester hours.

So, bachelor programs are 7,200 semester minutes or 10,800 quarter minutes, right? :jester:

I had over 130 credits when I found DegreeInfo. I think I wasted a lot of time looking over potential programs. My advice is to find a program and get it done ASAP. Trust me, you'll feel a lot better once you cross the finish line.

    Two options:

You use them towards a B.S from the big three. You might have enough for a B.S depending on how many upper level credits you have. You are still required to take a capstone course from the big three.

You can skip the BS and use the credits to gain admission for a master;s program. Most british Master's woud consider you for admission given your vast credit accumulated. You can try University of Liverpool and others.

I would try both options and see who gives me the best deal.

I'm a bit embarrassed to say that, I too, have completed over 130 semester-hours before I found degreeinfo. Still don't have a degree either.

Is there a way to have a school evaluate my transcripts and figure out how many more classes I'll need to earn a degree. What's the best way of doing this?

As I recall one semester hour requires 15 hours of class attendance. [or 108,000 minutes.]

If those are semester units then check out the Excelsior BSLS that requires 120 semester hours. You would have to meet degree requirements plus take four units through EC.

I believe this BSLS is the most flexible degree available.

I was in a similar situation to you. What I did was download degree requirement charts from Excelsior (such as this one https://my.excelsior.edu/c/document_library/get_file?uuid=f9efcdb6-2dad-4c83-b2e0-43725d335e94&groupId=78666), make a check list to compare my credits, then I signed up for the EC BSLS since I had a load of professional credits (engineering plus some business). After sign up EC sent me a chart showing which credits they accepted and what I needed to finish my degree. I took one CLEP exam to satisfy one requirement.

Incidentally my transcript includes the names of the institutions where I acquired each credit so it lists names like UC Berkeley, CSUSJ, CSUDH, and Redlands.

Yes, a semester hour is 15 contact hours in the classroom. A quarter hour is 10 contact hours.
