    This looks pretty cool.
Instructional Technology Program: Programs and Curricula - Education Specialist

Its 36 credits, 27 core and 9 elective. It can be completed entirely online except for the project defense. It does not require an MEd, just any masters degree. It should be able to be completed in 2-3 years.
I like the fact that USF recommends that students choose the project for the 9 credit thesis/project. It even says that a "2-3 page concept paper is recommended." Sounds like it has a lot less PITA factor than a PhD, which is good for many. I'd love to do a project instead of a dissertation.

I thought you might be interested. Its right up your alley. Its got tech, education, online, and its at our local USF.
I really like how there is no dissertation.

Anytime someone says "USF" I always have to check to see if they're talking about the University of San Francisco or the University of South Florida.

Or the University of Saint Francis?

Never heard of them. USF means the University of Sioux Falls.

I wonder if the EdS courses could transfer into the PhD after the EdS has been granted?

If not, then I believe it would still transfer into Liberty University's EdD.

Randell, did you look into this program further? I already want to sign up for it but have to first complete this PhD :)

I just signed up for the first course in the sequence for the certificate program in web design, EME6930 Interactive Media.
I'll take this concurrently with my NCU work.

One week into the course and the rigor is not high yet but the course is very practical and hands on. I was asked to take a graded quiz about the syllabus that I could retake over and over, build a personal portfolio page on google sites or something like that and create an html resume.
I am now working on 9/9 assignments about best practices in delivering e-media learning. Its nice to be "at USF" though. Maybe I'll go in next week and get a library card so that I can check out the new cards in the card catalog ;)
