It's UNC Greensboro. From Inside Higher Ed:

Good news! That is a great school here in North Carolina.

Wow! This is very interesting. Hmm, another degree for me to add to the wish list. Thanks! :ugh2:

Just to follow up on the Original Post, UNC-Greensboro apparently does not offer online degrees in Philosophy at this time. They currently do have an "Online Philosophy" webpage, but it only mentions online courses -- not online degrees:

Perhaps the "pending approval of the university system’s general administration" was never actually received. Interestingly, the address of the UNC-Greensboro "Online Philosophy" webpage is:

The address obviously suggests that the "Online Philosophy" page was intended for an online philosophy degree program. But for whatever reason, the degree part has not happened.

I find it curious that after years in the online wilderness, philosophy degrees are suddenly popular (relatively speaking).

Yet the job prospects in philosophy remain terrible ...

(Says the guy doing a second masters in theology ...)

That's perhaps what makes it even more curious.

What makes you think it's sudden?

I would absolutely love to do a degree in philosophy. But it really doesn't have much use for me beyond being really interesting and maybe making me think about things differently, sharpening my thinking skills, honing my ethics, what have you. But I'm not in a position to do a degree just because it's interesting and I want to. Maybe someday......
