Anyone remember the "white" Duke Lacrosse team? The news media, race hate instigators (Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, etc), Democrats and President Obama condemned them without knowing all the facts. Then it came out that they were in fact the victim and the African American girl made the whole story up. I don't remember anyone apologizing to the Duke Lacrosse team or any retractions by the news media. These guys had their lives destroyed.

What about the white Cambridge police officer who arrested the African American Harvard Professor. Once again the the same group (media, Jackson, Sharpton, Democrats, President Obama) came out condemning this officer before all the facts came out. Once again it turned out the officer did nothing wrong. I don't recall any apologies or retractions. I do remember the President meeting both parties for beer (LOL!).

Be patient. Wait for all the evidence. Zimmerman could be a murderer or Martin could be the assailant. We don't know yet.

Video just released of Zimmerman being taken into police station - Interesting

Contrary to the initial police report, therer is clear video of Zimmerman being taken into a police station looking perfectly fine, in contradiction to the police report that stated he had grass stains all over his jacket and blood all over his head and face. Guess what? The video does not show this at all. Zimmerman is in perfect condition, and does not look to have been assaulted in any way or manner. Plus, there have been no close up pictures of these supposed life threatining injuries he claimed were so severe that he had to kill a boy. Sorry folks, this guy was not attacked the way he said. As a former bouncer, blood ends up EVERYWHERE when someone's head is slammed into the ground. It literally sprayss out like a spray gun. This guy is full of shit.

Loser! Just like I said before. I can't wait for him to be charged.

    Abner,

How can an honest person come to any conclusions from watching that video? Your post has several false and/or misleading statements. I understand this can be very emotional but we should be objective and not jump to conclusions.

I just found the initial police report. Worth a read (especially you Abner)
    http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2012/images/03/28/sanford_files/PoliceReports.pdf

According to the police on scene, Zimmerman was in a red jacket that appeared wet and was covered in grass (not grass stains as you claim). He was bleeding from the nose and back of his head (blood was not everywhere nor on his face like you claim). The police report says Zimmerman was given first aid on scene. I'm sure they would have wiped some of the blood off cleaned him up a little. Is it plausible that wet grass (not stains) could have fallen off his jacket or got wiped off? He was probably rubbing his back on the seat in the police car. Maybe the crime scene techs collected it as evidence. The point is that I don't know and neither do you.

Here's the video you are talking about
Surveillance video shows George Zimmerman from the night he killed Trayvon Martin - Miami-Dade - MiamiHerald.com

You cannot tell Zimmerman looks perfectly fine (as you claim). He definitely doesn't look seriously injured. He can walk fine, but that doesn't mean his head is not injured. Take a look at about 36 seconds in to the video when the police officer is patting him down. The officer gets something on his hand (dirt, mud, wetness, grass???) from Zimmerman's jacket or pants. The officer wipes his hand off on his own pants. Clearly something was on Zimmerman. At about 60 seconds in the officer is looking at the back of Zimmerman's head. We can't tell if his head was injured or not but the officer was looking at/for something.

I found the 911 calls. Everyone should listen to at least call1 (especially you Abner).
    City of Sanford Florida

Call1 is the call Zimmerman made to police. At 2:23 the dispatcher asks if Zimmerman is following Trayvon. Zimmerman says yes and the police ask him to stop. Zimmerman says ok. At 2:38 Zimmerman tells the dispatcher Trayvon ran. Dispatcher asks Zimmerman if he wants to meet with police and he says yes. They plan to meet at Zimmerman's truck. Call ends at 4:05. So the police ask him to stop following he says ok. He plans to meet the police at his truck. So it is possible his story that he got attacked while heading back to this truck could be true. Somewhere on the call I did hear Zimmerman say "they always get away." So I could also think that he was trying to find Trayvon instead of meeting police. None of us know. I'd like to see a map of where his truck was, where he called police from and where the shooting took place. If the shooting took place between his truck and where he called police from then I would tend to believe his story.

Call2 is a man who heard shots, screaming and saw dead body

Call3 is a woman calling police. You can hear someone screaming in background

If he gets charged, how could he ever get a fair trial?

There's a lot of interesting reports on the Sanford police website regarding this case. Zimmerman does have one hell of a lot of calls to 911 going back as far as 2004. The PDF is 47 pages. I don't think every line is a call. It seems like a lot of calls, but then again he was the neighborhood watch guy.

All I'm saying is that I rushed to judgement like apparently every one else and I'm just withdrawing my earlier statements. I read the police reports and thought about it some more but still not making any conclusions.

Fact: Like it or not Zimmerman had a legal right to be where he was, even if the dispatcher asked him to return his car.

Fact: The only "witnesses" that have come forward only "heard" what happened and are left to speculate.

Fact: Zimmerman does have injuries consistent with defending himself (back of head) and physical evidence that puts him on his back in the grass...and the bloody nose. How that happened is debatable but the injuries were present at the time of the first responders.

Fact: Zimmerman is the only man armed in the encounter.

Fact: The victim was laying face down.
Problem: I do not know the condition of the victim. (I'm assuming he was only shot once?) Which direction was he shot from? Does he have wounds on his hands consistent with striking Zimmerman in the face. Does the victim any bruises or other wounds consistent with a scuffle. Does the victim have any stains or did he have any moisture consistent with the girlfriend's claim of him "maybe" being shoved while on the phone with her? There is a lot of physical evidence as of yet unknown. Until this evidence is matched to testimonial the testimonial is speculative.

Fact: Zimmerman did not render aid (that anyone saw) after the shooting but then he has no legal obligation to do so.

Fact: Zimmerman stated he was approaching the victim. The girlfriend's testimony corroborates this.

Fact: Zimmerman was taken into custody at the scene and interrogated at the station...

This basically amounts to an arrest but as of yet no charges have been filed as the DA did not feel there was enough evidence to establish probable cause or present to a grand jury (I'm not sure how Florida does it). We'll see how this develops.

Fact: There are so many holes in what we know right now you cannot possibly make an informed judgement. This is an ongoing investigation and there is no way they are going to tell us everything they know before the investigation is concluded.

You just sumed up my thoughts on this. I can follow or walk after anyone I so please, it gives them no right to attack me.

Seems the whole story by the gf is being called into question as well. Seems that the whole thing around Martain being the victim is falling apart now.

Yeah, let us wait and see. At this point I have said what I have to say. Now it is up to the law to decide. I still think certain things don't add. The original Sanford Lead Investigator did not buy Zimmermans story either. However, he was told to back off. Luckily, the the prosecutor has been replaced so lets see what happens when outside authorities investigate this.

It's funny, where I come from the neighborhood watch does not have police like authority, nor do they carry weapons. They work closely with the cops, and they let the trained professionals (LE) handle these situations. I am glad we don't have vigilante type watch groups in my states.

Zimmerman does not have police authority. I'm not sure why you think he does. Also, Florida law allows open carry or concealed carry with permit so any citizen can legally carry a weapon which is the law in most states. Zimmerman was working with the police and he did call the police to let them handle the situation. While not advisable, it would not be illegal for Zimmerman to follow or even approach Martin, identify himself as neighborhood watch and ask what he's doing.

Why are you so set on condemning someone without any proof? That sounds like vigilante justice. I don't know if Zimmerman is guilty or not, but I'm going to wait until all the facts come out.

It seems like the more facts that come out in this case, the victim looks worse and worse while Zimmerman's image seems to be improving.

The thing I don't understand is why some company selling a pocket size video recorder isn't jumping on the media hype to push their product. Some of these things the size of a pen, some a little bigger but still small and fairly inconspicuous. They typically have 1-2 houurs of battery life, hold 3-4 hours of video, many also capture audio, and can be purchased for around $100. Seems like a small investment. I bought one of these for walking my dog when a neighbor started acting aggressively towards me after he accused my dog of biting his kid (never happened). Fortunately things have died down and the recorder was not actually needed.

Nothing like the benefit of hindsight.

Information is being dribbled out so slowly, with everyone over-analyzing everything. For me, this case has become so frustrating that I am just going to not follow any of it until a decision (one way or the other) has been made regarding filing charges. Even then, I will probably ignore this case until a verdict has been reach. Why?

    1) I am operating on incomplete information that probably won't be released until trial (if there is a trial).
    2) I have ZERO influence on how this case will turn out.
    3) None of this has any impact on my life UNLESS AND UNTIL laws (or interpretations of existing laws) are changed because of it.
    4) None of my speculation is going to bring that boy back.

Ok, let's say police like authority since he decided he was in such danger he need to shoot and kill a boy. He did call the police, and he should have let them handle the situation like they said. He would not be in the situation he is now if he had listened to them.

As far as me forming opinions? It makes no difference to the case either way. I have a right to be skeptical just like the original lead Sanford Investigator was skeptical of zimmemans story. Basically, I am not concerned whether you disagree with my opinion or not, since neither of our opinions matter.

It does like this case will go to trial the way it should have to begin with. I Zimmerman is telling the truth, he can sleep well at night. If he is lying, the truth will bear out.

    Welcome aboard!

First let me say I don't know if the DailyCaller.com is a reputable source so please keep that in mind. I just wanted to post this link to show that so much information is floating around from so many sources that we don't know what is true and what is not. They enhanced a couple frames of the video that Abner says shows no injuries to Zimmerman. They found a large, laceration/scar/something on the back of his head. Now it could be a birthmark, old scar or a new injury. We don't know. We'll see if any more video enhancements surface in the next few days from more credible sources.

But for Abner to categorically state that the video shows no injuries without being an expert in video forensics/enhancement is irresponsible at best. Correct me if I am wrong and you are indeed a video forensics specialist.

You must not be a subscriber to the "white guilt" theory. By the by...Hispanics in general do not like being refered to as "white" (at least the ones I know and am related to). So I'm not sure why they keep making this a "white vs. black" thing... I guess it's "good business".

I'm not sure what you mean by "some lily white area," but I think there's no doubt any trial will be moved. The people that will be mad that it gets moved will be the same people who will be at fault for it being moved.
