I was looking at this program to complement my upcoming degree and the cost is almost too good to be true unless I'm reading this incorrectly. $330/hour and 15 hours = $4950 for the entire grad cert plus it would boost my resume padding immensely by not only adding another public health/safety title, but it's also from a well known southern school so no one would question it.

I'm currently entering my final semester at PSU and was considering adding this so that not only do I have a strong public health/emergency management/security background, but also the safety/industrial hygiene side of this field as well. As I posted in another thread, I'm looking at taking OSHA courses, but this also looks like a great addition to my growing degree pool. Any thoughts or firsthand experiences with this program?

One of my questions is how differently would this be looked at versus a traditional Occupational Safety and Health cert. The curriculum looks like part OS&H law/regs and part leadership training.

    Course Title
    HES 512 Introduction to EHSM
HES 513 Occupational Health and Safety Law
HES 514 EHSM Regulations & Regulatory Compliance
HES 537* Developing the Leader Within
    HES 525** Conflict Resolution
