It seems that OWS fever has spread to Iran as college students took over the UK embassy in a violent rage.
I guess its not as bad as the 1979 Islamic revolution when college students took US citizens hostage for over a year.

This does not rank alongside the "occupy" trend. This is a violent take over; usually stuff that leads to very serious diplomatic stand-offs or even war.

I thought the OWS protest sprang from the "Arab Spring"?

    Awesome.

Yes, bad song but great reference.

If this event were really akin to the Arab Spring movements, wouldn't they have occupied an Iranian government building rather than the British embassy?

Who says Churchill is dead and forgotten?

LONDON – Britain's foreign secretary William Hague said Wednesday that the UK was ordering the immediate closure of the Iranian embassy in London and that Britain was closing down its embassy in Tehran.

"We require the immediate closure of the Iranian embassy in London and for staff to leave the country," Hague told British lawmakers in a statement to parliament.
Hague added that Iranian diplomats "must leave the United Kingdom within the next 48 hours."

The closure follows the storming of the British Embassy in Tehran on Tuesday by hardline student protesters.

All UK staff have now left Iranian soil, Hague confirmed.

Hague said Britain's move to close the Iranian embassy did not amount to the complete severing of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

I'm willing to bet that the Iranian students (yeah right-where'd they study the university of the republican guard?) who stormed the main embassy were a diversion to their real mission of getting to the British Intellignece areas of the compound. The Brits are about the only westerners checking in on the Iran nuclear proliferation.

Hamas and the Iranians are absolutely working together. I thinking there is a link between the recent CIA "spies" who were caught and this little "uprising".

WW3 is not so far away I am afraid. I suppose US, Britain, France, Israel, India, S. Korea, Japan will launch attacks against Iran, Syria, N. Korea, Pakistan, China, Russia and others. Sad. But true.
