$80 for 8 MBA Credits

Okay the first study guide is up: Fall Special!

Further, it turns out I'm not going to honor the $80 cost point. Instead we have cut it in half, so it is up to 8 MBA portfolio credits for $40 dollars. I just didn't see why we should run people around for $40 smackers and give Amazon 40% of that. So, we made it free in the member area.

By comparison, how much will the exams cost after the monthly Fall Special window?

 

Looks like $250 per test, outside the window.

What I've seen so far looks very interesting, and right up my philosophical alley. Not quantitative, except for a rather interesting deconstruction of a process's value in relationship to quality and "ideality" (which is derived from benefits, costs, problems, and harm).

I converted all of the material into an audio book. The whole thing is a little over 4 hours, including external readings, using the default reading speed of the default Mac voice ("Alex"). (I learn just about as well from the spoken word as from the written word... it's like a super-power, in this world of e-books and good text-to-speech.

They are $250 for non-members and $150 for premium members (who pay $65 a year to be a member).

BTW, I just put a new video up on the front paging showing how to use the information in the first study guide in real world analysis.. its 15 minutes so good luck making it all the way through listening to me ramble on, but it also has some great information in it if you are at all interested in disruptive thinking and where information technology is going.

Wow, could you send me the text to voice file? Is the Mac voice any good? The Microsoft ones are honestly still hard to listen to. BTW you could add the audio from the video I just put on the main page to help your study, I tried to help show how to apply the concepts against a real world market that we all have some experiences against..

The Mac voice is excellent; you can even hear it take "breaths" during long pauses. For Windows, there's a program called TextAloud ($29) that has gotten good reviews--I haven't had a chance to test it, although I've downloaded the free demo.

Some notes on the audio version:

1. It probably needs some editing to be "perfect," as there are artifacts (page headers, etc.) from the PDF readings. I've gotten into the habit of leaving them in and ignoring them.

2. The slides from 2D are omitted, as they didn't seem to translate to audio well. I simply studied those the old-fashioned way.

3. The readings are in-line, directly in front of the chapters that reference them.

4. It's one monolithic audio file (MPEG-4). This works for me, but for a larger audience you would want it broken into chapters.

I don't have any problem with making the needed edits and posting a polished copy, if an audio version is something you might find useful.

Does anyone know if these credits could be transferred to a RA accredited MBA program? I know it depends upon the specific school, so is there a RA school that would accepts these credits, that I could then "launder" the credits through them and then to my college of choice?

I'd like to attend ENMU's or Chadron State College's MBA program.

 

Don't worry, I'm not a troll. I just finished my degree at Thomas Edison State College. I've been a member over at degreeforum.com for about two years. I'm just trying to switch into graduate degree mode. Trying to find a MBA that I can transfer credits to (like AIMS credits), and that is RA or AACSB accredited. Definitely need a independent study or 100% online program.

BTW @jts, I would take a audio copy of the materials if you decide to edit them. That would be really great!!

To the question concerning these transferring to other schools outside of Taft, I have an agreement with Taft to take them but not with any other school. If you want to go for it and try it let me know and I'll lend what ever support I can.
