Hi, please advise whether Asia E University is a recognized university of Govt. of Malaysia ? They have very good off campus programmes. aeu.edu.my
Asia e University: “Academic programmes (non-executive programmes) are accredited by Malaysian Qualifications Agency under Ministry of Higher Education.” Asia e University - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Official Website of Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA)
I searched everywhere but couldn't find it listed. I saw someone inquire about it on their facebook page; i'm considering doing that too through email.

One of my colleagues in Taiwan went there. his English was impeccable and he was a very hard worker. No, English was not his first language.
Thanks for post. Would you happen to have tuition figures for their doctoral programs (PhD in ICT and PhD in Business)?
Just so people know, 10,000 Malaysian Ringgets comes to just under 3,400 USD (as of this writing) and so that MBA will cost you approximately 8,500 USD, plus books, etc. I think it's a bit cheaper at the Open University of Malaysia and substantially cheaper through some of the well known South African universities as well as the lesser known Indian universities that we've been learning about recently.
If it was called the "University of <someplace>", I might consider this, but the name seems quite unusual. I'm not sure how employers will receive this. The same applies for all of the schools with "Open" in the name. With a more traditional name, they might be more willing to accept something from Malaysia.
Somewhere in our pages of threads we have one about "the worst universtiy names." This has got to be in the top three. I could not agree more with Pelican. It's a horrible name. Combine this with the relatively high price (the Malaysian version of Phoenix) and I'd prefer to go to South Africa.
The name is a turn-off, no doubt. With several physical locations in Malaysia and other Asian countries, I wonder what is so "e" about the university. 100% online schools try as much to mask their non-physical presence with unsuspecting names. But Asia eUniversity seems to announce the fact that the school is an online school, even with many physical locations or education centers in Malaysia and over many other countries. I suspect once they realize that potential students are turned off by the name of the school, they'll consider changing it to something more sensible.
The story behind this 'E' is the initiative taken by 31 countries under the Asian Cooperation Dialogue. Its purpose is to bridge the member states by enhancing their human resource capacity via E learning methadology.
Asia Electronic University (Asia eUniversity) adds an Industrial Doctorate program (a vocational-oriented alternative to a traditional PhD). Specialisms available include: 1.) Physical Sciences 2.) Engineering 3.) Biological Sciences 4.) Mathematics 5.) ICT 6.) Allied Health 7.) Environmental Science 8.) Business 9.) Management 10.) Education 11.) Arts and Humanities 12.) Social Science, Plus Other research areas approved by Senate
That's interesting. It doesn't say what the postnomial would be for that, as PhD would be for a Doctor of Philosophy or EdD would be for Doctor of Education. But despite the goofy name, Asia eUniversity is recognized, and a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and everything.
As you can see on this following linkm Asia E University is accredited : http://fotolio.org/aeu-accreditations.jpg Source : Recognition | AeU
