I came across this accredited school/seminary located in the Philippines they offer several online degrees for around $135.00 per semester credit. Thought I would share this as it may be an option for some.

Cheesy looking website, but that doesn't mean much. If it's anything like Loma Linda Hospital here in CA, which is run by the Adventist church, it will be a top-notch operation. Loma Linda is arguably the best hospital in the Inland Empire area of California. Having the school in the Philippines does raise a question in my mind, however.

    SurfDoctor,

This is what their website says:

"The tuition fee will then remain at US$127 per credit, making quality graduate Christian education more affordable and available to many students, particularly missionaries, church workers, and Asian students.

Although the tuition fee for online courses at Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS) is far lower than those in other countries, like the US, it has been considered too high for Asian students. At present, only 17% of the online student population comes from Asian countries surrounding AIIAS. Most of its students come from the US, Canada, and other developed countries.

Online programs in the institution reflect the distinctive Adventist education and international quality of instruction that characterize AIIAS. Its online education has now become an excellent venue for upgrading missionaries and church workers, especially in places where no Christian school is available. Indeed, technology is now helping pastors, teachers, and health workers upgrade for better service in the mission field".

I checked this university and seminary is indeed accredited. Appears that it is mainly intended to tap into the Asian market and of course it has a missionary focus for the Adventist denomination.

The Seventh-day Adventists maintain more than a dozen colleges and universities in the U.S. and many more outside the U.S. So having one based in the Philippines is not really unusual. All of the Adventist colleges and universities are comparably small, with Loma Linda University and Andrews University (both with about 3,500 students) being the two largest.

    Dr. Pina,

I did not realize the Seventh-day Adventists had such a presence in higher education. I believe that the one we are discussing will see a large growth spurt over the next several years. The tuition is very low.

According to a list on Wikipedia, there are 14 in the U.S. and 111 worldwide, which is even more than I thought. As a non-Adventist, I attended La Sierra University some years ago and it was not particularly inexpensive (good school, though).
