The Beeb has an article on how universities in Northern Ireland are paying too much money to award honorary doctorates. Perhaps there's something to be said for selling them rather than paying the recipient? :scool: -=Steve=-
What makes them so expensive? Does the school foot the bill (tavel, lodging, food, etc.) for the recipient? Do the recipients charge a fee (ie. a speaker's fee)? Inquiring minds want to know.
